If by new price point you mean the normal price for voyagers now, than yeah, it probably is.

These aren't for me, but that's okay. Hopefully kids will like them (I mean that genuinely, not in a condescending snarky man-child way... I really DO hope kids embrace this line, the simpler figures and action features look like they'd be fun; and kids deserve a good on-the-shelf TF line). Not everything needs to be a delicate collectible aimed at 30-year-olds. Me, I'm happy to take a break from on-the-shelf mainline stuff, there will be plenty of collector-oriented big-ticket items to buy next year (both from TF and from other toylines).

There are several areas that could be improved upon, but generally I don't think Voyager Optimus is that bad, I certainly like the vehicle mode. I think I'll buy Beast Hunters Optimus if I still don't have the First Edition Optimus by the time the Beast Hunters line starts, that gives me three or four months.

I'm with you! I'll be enjoying my MP's and things that are dedicated to the adult collector (fort max).

    So. Much. Kibble.

Glad Prime is back to being a cabover truck, but this Beast Hunters kibble thing is just crap.

The Fall of Cybertron Optimus Prime travelled to the future and Optimus molested Prime Prime. Oh Hasbro, you did a good job on Ultra Magnus Voyager, but what did you do to Optimus?! The more I look at this I may need to cancel my pre-order.

I would hold on to the pre-order until some good in-hand pics come out (and properly transformed), then decide to drop or not. Then again, it is Prime. Not the two beasts who are currently the only ones to sell out at BBTS. He will probably be available for a while.

I like parts of this design. The vehicle cab, chest, arms, bits and pieces appeal to me. But the head is just blech, the vehicle mode past the cab is forgettable and the clip-on wheels on both of them are a drawnback.

I think Prime is trying way too hard to ape the movie style at this point with the layered panels, but without any form or details to enhance the effect. They're all just jagged polygons layered over eachother without any curves or depth or flow. The movies designs had the panels over intricate detail and varying shapes.

I REALLY want to see a closeup of his face/mouth. I can't tell what is going on there.

Also, those yellow truck windows and that translucent green plastic used form the front windows, eyes, and sword just look awful. Make those windows and that translucent plastic blue. I never thought a Cyberverse would look better than it's larger counterpart, but it does.

I wonder if we will get a larger/Ultimate Optimus Prime to go along with that awesome larger Predaking we were shown.

    LOL I agree.

For those who like the stuff, great.

For me, this Beast Hunters line is gonna be an easy pass.
The designs come off as way to kiddee, and look like cheap junk ko's.
And the "beast" stuff just makes the vehicles look terrible.
    And the colours. Ugh.

Ah, y'know what, I like it. Good sized sword, probably nicely posable, no dumb weaponiser weapons, and an interesting design on the whole.

Tragic. Prime has had such great hits, I hate to see this sort of thing happening. Good for the wallet, though...

ah, okay, that makes more sense, that i remember.

i would totally buy the crap out of this done as Motormaster. someone needs to digibash that asap!

indeed! i hope it's successful with the kids, and that they enjoy it, as that's the main focus. I've got plenty of older figures I can still focus on, so if i spend less on the current line, that's fine with me.
