Sludge could quite easily be alive by the time this happens.

In the game his body is still there, the designs for his dinobot are readily available for any one to see in that room and someone just puts it all together with sticky back plastic.

Done. Sludge is back. Now give me the toy!!

Its not blast off, its the same chest, same guns as the toy, similar body, but he's not bright purple. So fruiticus is alive and well in prime

Is it worth pointing out that "Transformers Prime: The Game" also can't strictly fit into continuity with Transformers: Prime?

and that makes me so angry guys

They didn't use Vehicons for any of the other generics in that scene. Why would they just for one guy?

I'm looking forward to this, if only 'cause this 'final evacuation of Cybertron' timeframe is something I've wanted to see. I wonder just how long after the Ark/Nemesis both left this...

As for the apparent continuity errors, I'm not super concerned. I mean, we've known from the start that Aligned isn't one continuous fiction, instead differing interpretations of the same events (i.e. WFC and FOC vs. Exodus). Regardless, though, it's no stretch to imagine explanations for the seeming contradictions - the Dinobots could have gone back to the Sea of Rust, dug out Sludge (who, IIRC, was described as being stasis?) and rebuilt him per the blueprint they found.

I wish the game had a plot similar to the Rage of Dinobots. Then that'd be neat.

I see no reason this contradicts either FoC or TFP.

It's been established that a large number of Cybertronians stayed behind after Optimus and Megatron left. The Autobots were being led by Ultra Magnus and his Wreckers (sans Bulkhead) against Shockwave-led Decepticons; this looks like Magnus JUST called for an evacuation of those who stayed AFTER the Ark took off. Sludge also wasn't dead, Jazz and Cliff found him in stasis, they could've retrieved him and used Shockwave's blueprints that the other Dinobots found. This takes place some time after FoC.

Play FOC and then try and find anything, anything that could even slightly imply that there was a way off Cybertron after the Ark. The Ark was the last transport and they were scraping Energon to get it to fly, it was stated over and over again throughout the game; there was no realm of doubt surrounding this, it was fact. The idea of other transports and enough Energon being available to fly them is such a huge hole that I doubt the comics will bother trying to fill in and it does very much break the idea that this will fit together two pieces of continuity that are not meant to fit together. Also, Grimlock doesn't appear to have the brain-damage that he got in FOC, so that's just another of the many inconsistencies that the very first five pages gave us: I'm betting that the rest of the story will only make more, this is just another nail in the coffin of the incredibly flawed idea that Hasbro (not the designers or writers of FOC/Prime) have that they are in the same continuity.

The Decepticons had Energon to get the Nemesis to fly, there was probably some Energon left via Decepticon stores that the Autobot guerrilla fighters had to double-time to snag. Magnus even said a lot can happen after "the end", indicating some shit went crazy after Optimus and Megatron left, even if it took a few centuries to escalate to that level.

Grimlock wasn't all that brain damaged when he was getting pissy with Optimus after saving Snarl and witnessing the tower activating the Space Bridge.

Once again, Aligned Continuity= a gathered source of information (i.e about dark energon, the 13 primes, etc etc). Prime and the WFC and FOC are all stemmed from it and only connected because they share similar information. They're not all part of one timeline--it's like taking information from an encyclopedia to make each series under the aligned continuity.

Unless Hasbro stated that it's ONE timeline, I don't see why we keep trying to connect all the stories in Aligned Continuity as one thing, especially with all the contradictions.

Anyways, I'm super happy to see Magnus in some actual media..makes me kinda want to justify buying that Prime Voyager of him

I can't speak for everyone else, but I enjoy looking at alleged contradictions and finding potential solutions/explanations, that's how John Barber kicks raging ass.

I do too, but only when they're plot holes and the like, which this doesn't seem to be, considering it's not just timeline problems, but names/designs of characters and so on.

Considering hasbro has an 'Aligned bible' or something along those lines, or so I hear, I think it's safe to say (and makes much more sense) that 'Aligned Continuity' explains the ideas of things (what dark energon is, how cybertron was turned lifeless, shockwave's creations) and each successive media that comes out under it only sources information from the large source of information.

So, Prime has dark energon in it because dark energon is mentioned in the aligned continuity and WFC also has dark energon because it's sourcing from the same primary source, but that doesn't make the two stories linked to one another in the timeline. Prime is its own continuity as is WFC/FOC--like branches off of the same tree.

But anyways, not here to turn this into another one of those debates, so I'll end it there lol.

    BACK ON TOPIC

I really hope this comic ends with the dinobots getting screwed over or sent somewhere else or something. That way they exist in the PRIME universe but won't actually have to show up in show. Last thing we need is 5 more characters who kind of have the same schtick...imo.

I like the look of the comic so far, can't wait to pick this up this coming week!

And as I've pointed out elsewhere, this comic (and the fall of Cybertron comic) fits perfectly with the events of the exodus and exiles novels. There, untra Magnus and the others did stay behind, and probably had enough energon to leave. Now, we're seeing thier departure, the same time that iacon fell, and Smoekscreen lost track of Alpha Trion.

And hasbro seems to have no inentions of dropping the aligned continuity, so I'm along for the aligned ride! ^^
