nice to already have Magnus before he makes his appearance, as should now be expected by his weaponizer

 

Prime is one of the few designs in the show I love, and from what I can tell so far, this doesn't look like an improvement (for me).

But I'll hold my judgment until we get some better pics, this is a really small pic (of a possible render) of a cyberverse toy. Not really honest to draw conclusions from that.

Judging from the wheels though, it looks like he'll transform into a...beast of a truck. Ho, ho ho ho ho.

I could see Magnus maybe undermining Prime too, causing issues for Bulkhead, as Magnus was his old leader.

 

Well I guess it's good news then that he lost his bellpeppers playbook when the base blew up.

Looks like I'll be adding another Optimus Prime to my collection. Meaning I'll also be adding yet another Megatron to my collection too...I wonder how the inevitable Voyager version of this will turn out. I like the look of his bot-mode, but I wonder what his alt-mode will look like. Especially with the size of those tires. This does settle one thing...

Optimus is definitely still alive

With Ultra Magnus now getting a Weaponizer, that's all the confirmation I need to say that he's in the show. I wonder who they'll have voicing him. I also wonder what kind of a role he'll play in the overall plot.

Well this makes me happy, his new look is rather interesting I have a lot of the older Transformers Prime Optimus toys in my collection, but they are still in the boxes because we are in the process of packing things because we are moving in like a year and a half, But I am happy they did not kill him off

 

Does it say it's a Cyberverse toy on FMH ?

Anyway speaking of Weaponizers I'd not say they are the same as a Universe or Cybertron Ultra they are 9" tall which places them mid way between a Leader and an Ultra size and likewise in price. they sit dead in the middle price wise too. They are Similar to an Ultra but likewise they are similar to a leader - I think it's two early to say they are a direct replacement of either size.

There's a lot more heft to 2012 Optimus Prime and even Bumblebee weaponizers than there is to say Universe Onslaught. and even other things I've compared them to like Cybertron Scourge or Universe Countdown they are bigger than them in mass and height and only slightly smaller than say ROTF Leader Optimus Prime or Sentinel Prime.

Anyway I think it's a little odd that there's still no chance of a Weaponizer Megatron or any sign of the weaponizer Predaking yet.

If you consider that Wheeljack may be more of a series regular in season 3 and Wheeljack had an issue with an old commander or his (which some thing was Magnus) then if they don't get Optimus back right away.. they could have Magnus in the show as a temp replacement. he might show up in that new space ship that the Smokescreen toy comes with for example.

But it's quite possible he isn't needed or he might even be called in after Predaking is revealed. if he's in the show at all. It make sense to have him though as it give the show more even-ness and means Megatron does not need to be killed off to keep the show balanced.

 

whats with the outages lately?

 

A spoiler might be that he somehow gets the Star Saber back. (which I doubt). It looks like both of them have lost their sword and the Solus Forge and Airachnid are buried under all that rubble some place.

 

GAH!!! Now I don't know whether it's worth it to buy a voyager magnus! I mean what if the weaponizer one looks good (like not sucky like OP and BB) and SCALES better?!

The design reminds me a lot of DOTM Megatron, particularly the spikes on what appears to be the truck's grille.
