Well, it'll be interesting to read what the superbowl commercial contest winner will say he's learned from his experience working with Bay.

 

Well, I was concentrating on the people who go overboard regarding the TF movies without looking back at how silly the toons were at times. Doesn't mean it has to be silly now I know (and he does go overboard at times), but it doesn't need to take itself totally serious.

It's irritating when people who dislike a movie will go nuts complaining, yet continue to watch the sequels and prequels. Once, sure. I get it. You hate it, you hate the director. Fine. I repect that, but not when the hate train stretches throughout a frachise's life cycle. Like Star Wars fans. I have two friends that do this kind of thing. Lol. "Why are you going to watch it if you know you're going to hate it?" "Because."

To those who hate the movies: don't waste your time seeing them or reading about them. Just avoid it altogether like I did with Pearl Harbor. Saw the trailer once, rolled my eyes, and that was that. Same with Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Ugh, I don't like the director. Saw the trailer once, that's it.

Silly is being far too kind. Some episodes of G1 were just down right stinkers by the standards of any cartoon era. Even Beast Wars had it's "you've got to be kidding me" moments so a standard higher than the cartoons would be nice given the multitude of talented people who work on the films.

Although some movies seem to be harder to ignore than others. Really not interested in the Twilight books or movies, but it seems like something about those movies crop up everywhere. Gets kind of hard to ignore how vampires went from killers in the night to sparkly emo kid with a constipated girlfriend.

Unfortunately, your argument in defence of Pearl Harbour (and Bay's credibility in general) is less effective than the actual defence at Pearl Harbour was.
