Hasbro/US Masterpiece Sideswipe not confirmed (sorry folks!)

    If this isn't news sorry and delete, I did run a quick search.

    But my MP-12 Lambor came in the mail today straight from Hong Kong, and this surprising promo disc/wheel with a heavy clear plastic coated medallion as the rim in the centre was thrown loose into the shipping box.

    It says 'Masterpiece Sideswipe' (not Lambor) AND says Copyright 2012 Hasbro on the back.

    No, Hasbro Asia distributes TakaraTOMY products to Asia excluding Japan and including Australia if I am not wrong. Their Masterpieces and selected reissues tend to come with specially made coins marked Hasbro.

    So this is a throw in for the MP Lambor coming from outside of Japan?

    Yeah; don't think this counts as a confirmation. Hasbro Asia does distribute TakaraTomy stuff like Masterpieces.

    not confirmed for US release, Aaron Archer himself has stated that in order to bring over sideswipe they'd have to get the lamborgini liscense first

    so if it does happen, which isn't that likely, its gonna be a long time

    Yeah I don't think this means anything about a US release.

    I got the coin that came with the Asian Market reissue Sixshot recently, and that coin was apparently released by Hasbro Asia - only Hasbro logos were on the box.

    I thought that was the deal with all of the coins? I only own one so I'm just pulling from admittedly foggy memory on this bit.
