    RIRFIB (based on the solicitation).

Also in that website are images of the prototypes for GT-R Optimus and Star Saber. They both come with figurines of the girls pictured.

    2980 JPY?

Even if that's for a set of four.......... $38.00 for those is daylight robbery.

On the English toys RIBFIR, as it should be.

Also, I hope Wing Saber can hold the Star Saber like a proper sword. That looks weird.

Not by Takara's methodology it isn't. Frenzy is always blue and Rumble is always red, even when it's not the G1 universe.

    As it should be... :p

Actually, until recently, the Gen1 cartoon was the only "universe" that had a blue Rumble and red Frenzy.... perhaps someone new (in the last few years) at Hasbro is a Gen1 cartoon fan and is trying to turn the tide back in his favour.

At least TakaraTomy are remaining uniform with the colours.

Probably more like this, as it's clearly not meant to be controversial / racy.

Agreed. I rather liked Asterisk in theory... basically more like proto-Human Alliance (... in addition to proto-Kiss Players, but... can't win them all).

Those data disks make Legends toys look like Masterpieces. Absolutely pathetic.

I'm definitely passing on the new Alternity Optimus but Star Saber is looking great.

Considering they're half the price of Legends, that's pretty much to be expected.

It should be RIRFIB, since the toys came first.

Like it or not, this price is on par with toys in Japan, especially the Transformers brand. Toys here, famous ones, come with a premium price. Low prices are associated with rather crappy toys.

Yeah, when you compare it to pricing for other Takara TFs...it may not seem to bad, but my first reaction was still '$40 for those??'

I like the look of the data disks a lot...... but $10 each...ow.

Makes the MP Cassettes look downright cheap in comparison. I'd sooner pay $30 for one of those over $10 for one of these.
