No it's not a Megazord, I collect seriously also sentai mechas (almost all japanese versions) and this is more similar to a transformer in my eyes :D

I wish I wasn't so out of the loop with mecha and robts that didn't get rehashed into western cartoons through the '80s and beyond, but I would probably want to start colleting them! :D

Great find Cheem! Lots of items we've seen here previously but some ofthe layouts inspre anticipation (MP Decepticon page) or temptation.

Is that little circle indicating some difference between Sideswipe and Red Alert in the neck/chest region?

Yes, but they chose the worst possible angle to show it, as it's white-on-white on Red Alert. Red Alert's chest/hood is molded differently to be like the G1 toy's, with the little clips that plugged into the windshield area up on the top edge---since his animation model had them (but Sideswipe's didn't).

Takara is going pretty strictly by the animation models for these figures, and that make SS and RA different in many small ways.

Yep, I asked the same question some time ago, and the answer was yes, there are some notches that were on the g1 toy and that were used in the animated model, unlike sideswipe.

That's because it's in scale with the figures and the figures can actually sit inside the car

Exactly my point. How often do the toys actually reflect that?

Too bad the price is insane.
