Looks like this'll certainly be an interesting season finally. Just from this clip alone I imagine this last episode will feel rushed, and more like it should be a two-parter. Though we'll see...

I wonder how the Autobots will stop Megs from cyberforming the Earth. As cool as it would be, there's no way Megs is going to succeed with this plan. Taking control of Cybertron is one thing, but reformatting Earth and destroying the entire Human race?...something rather different. Also, if the writers had the balls to do that, they could have done so with Uni's story in season one.

Was thinking the same thing. You'd think that would do all the wiring necessary for him to use Earth as a proper body.

The way I see it, the only way they could really stop Megatron would be to blow the Space Bridge.

Which leaves them on Earth, and Megatron on a restored Cybertron.

Oh MYYyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! Whoa...well, they got the kids back...but lose everyone on earth?? Yikes. Better think fast Optimus. Very FAST!!

(Would suggest redirecting the bridge beam back toward Cybertron...after leaving the planet of course, especially if it will kill all indigenous beings...or at least killing the connection completely and save both planets...Decisions, decisions.)

At least Ratchet was in the base and okay.....for that moment anyway.

It would certainly trap the cons on Cybertron, till they built a new bridge that is (which given the restoration, and amount of resources, wouldn't really take long), but unless something also happened to the one's the bots have, they'd still be able to go to and fro as they please.

I see a cybertron primus remold in our future.

This is a major continuity error.
shame on hasbro for forgetting unicron.
but technicly Unicron is indigonus life,
so it could kill him or the massive surge would probily reawaken-restore him
killing all us motherfuckers and then conquereing cybertron.
    thats a bad situation.

you mean to tell me that Prime sacrificed the safety of ALL LIFE on Earth and the restoration of Cybertron, for a mere 3 human lives?!? Are you fucking kidding me?!?

*sigh* this just pisses me off. -_-

He deserves to lose and die at this point. especially when he can't even follow through with his own orders.

    "At All Costs" indeed! :/

The whining like entitled, spoiled children pisses ME off far more than the fact that Optimus Prime is being true to his character. How anyone expected this incarnation to be any different from his other incarnations in that regard is beyond me. And I doubt he knew what Megatron intended to do to Earth when he released the kids to them.

Seriously, people need to quit whining. 'BAWWWWWWW, THE KIDS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN IN OF OUR ENDLESS BASHFEST OF TOTAL UNREPENTANT VIOLENCE!!!!'

Get over yourselves and stop taking this so damned seriously. It's freakin' annoying.

Keep in mind, Optimus wasn't aware that Megatron could do that. Also Cybertron was going to be revitalized anyway whether Optimus did it or not.

That's not a good thing, you know.

There's a difference between a surprise, which is a logical happening merely unforeseen by the viewer that still makes total sense when compared to any forshadowing or build up that's come before, and a random act that makes no sense and falls in line with Prime's general attempt at grand spectacles that are introduced late in the game to unrealistically raise the stakes in order to be "epic."

Seriously? This is how they plan to make the finale big and important? Have Megatron randomly decide to make Earth Cybertron, and give him the means to do so? How does this have anything to do with what the season's been working towards thus far? Searching for relics = Earth turning into Cybertron? The hell? This reeks of the same genius that brought in the "prophecy" and Unicron as a corporeal being last minute.

This show loves to have this grand imagery that has no substancial link to the ongoing story or characters.

If the show insists on taking itself so seriously, then how is it wrong for the fans to?

If the writers are making a show that tries to be dark, mature and intelligent, then people are going to expect it to be dark, mature and intelligent. You can only judge the show by the standards it has set for itself.

The exuse taht "It's a kids show" falls flat on it's face when fans insist that it's dark and matter. You know what'd be dark and mature? Optimus realising that, for the greater good, sacrifices must be made. That's dark. That's mature. Not that I'm saying the kids should die or anythign nuts like that. But have Prime refuse the deal and then have the kids escape or have them be rescued last minute.
