It bugs me, because no figure I have with them (Knockout and vehicon) rolls worth a damn.

clear clip on wheels are going to stress and break very easily if you pop them off and on, so customizers risk breakage if they take them off.

^All the figures I've got with clip on wheels so far roll excellently.

Hey, Razor24, how well does this Soundwave roll?:drunk

I hate this argument, yes, I'm sure customizers appreciate it but they are a small fraction of those that buy the toys with the expectation of them actually rolling somewhat smoothly.

(And for the rebuttal "but they do roll smoothly" in 3...2...1...)

Edit: Haha, didn't even need to wait for it, lol.

Thanks a ton for the photos Razor. Cleared up any questions I had for in chest data disk storage. Good to know the cool launching gimmick doesn't prevent me from having the figure look good storing a disk if I want to. At this point, I'm super sold on this guy. Didn't expect it either. He should make a great Classics Soundwave stand in until (hopefully) Hasbro gets around to making a real one.

This is true on both counts. My guys with clip-on wheels don't roll near as good as the ones with pinned wheels. I removed the rear wheels on a TFP Kup for painting and both of them had stress marks after removal.

Looks decent enough. I'll probably get one merely becauase there hasn't really been any better Soundwave toys.

It's actually slightly cheaper to import a case from Hong Kong than pay local retail. On the other hand I'll still have to wait a few more weeks for them to arrive...

Thanks for the pics and review Razor24. :)

Was thinking that exact same thing.
I hope we're right because I'm sick of Grimlock's toys
not being a big bulky and imposing like he is supposed
to be. MP Prime is bigger, Voyager Animated Prime is too.

Love the size. Looks like voyagers are back to the pre-DOTM size.

I'm gonna get this but mostly just to play around with the disk gimmick and for the Laserbeak. I'll be using the old deluxe for my actual WFC collection.

Sculpt-wise, he's okay, but it's the proportions and the hind legs that irk me.

Real hind legs don't bend like that, and they just look unnatural.

That said, I understand that it's probably as good as it gets, given the size and simplicity of the thing. Even MP Ravage had somewhat weird-looking legs, although his was much better.

So The gimmick with these is that the data discs will shoot out of the chest and open when they hit the ground? The weird spine piece that can extend off his robot back intriques me.

Wonder if they made it so more than four deployers can launch out of him, with spring pushing the next deployer into position vending machine style.
