Call me crazy but that deluxe Bumblebee looks...alright.

 

It's actually kinda sad how much better it looks. Then again, our expectations for a Legion figure are far less than our expectations for a Deluxe figure. Still, one is worth buying, and the other isn't worth even the slightest consideration... I'm sure my Legion Vehicon will appreciate finally having someone to combat the four Cyberverse Autobots I have him pinned up against, lol...

Looking at the Legion Smokescreen figure, there is one thing that bugs me. His paint-job. It could be the photoshopping, but he looks way too silver. Hopefully the Deluxe they'll inevitably have in the works is properly colored.

 

They need more beasts ASAP! Predaking looks tough enough but that other dude looks like he's going to get his ass kicked hard by Wheeljack and Bumblebee.

 

If the Legion was upscaled into Deluxe size - it'd STILL be better than the Deluxe we actually got...

 

Been thinking about OP and OS. I am going to have to get both. Those extra vehicles would make nice extras for OS.

 

I don't think there's a single Beast Hunters (re)design I don't like. Especially Laserback, Twinstrike(Deluxe?), and Predaking. Omega and Prime are big boring hunks of G1. Not interested.

Laserbeak is a totally different character(as far as we know)

 

Wait. His name is really Laserback? That's pretty misleading, considering it's spelled almost exactly the same as Laserbeak, and they're both bird-esque. Still, I want to buy him.

 

Two things.


First, it's sad that the Legion (THat's the tiny scale figures right) Airachnid looks WAY better in bot mode than the Deluxe version.



Second, Everything else (Minus the actual "beasts") looks horrible. All that crap sticking off of them, ugh.

 

I kinda like the Wheeljack though. Reminds me of what a Prime Lockdown might be...

Next thing you know, fans will be repainting him into Lockdown as soon as he's released.

 

It's Lazerback, so it might not be quite as confusing as it seems.

Then again maybe it's an upgraded Laserbeak, since Soundwave appears to no longer come with him.

 

I'm digging wheeljack bumblebee and soundwave. Vehicle modes are so so but bot modes are sweet. Ravage is cool.
Still not a fan of beasts.

 

No, the one on display was a completely different tooling, featuring missile launchers built into the wings as well as not having the flip-out head basters and being sculpted differently. They're not the same.

 

I wonder if that was a production prototype and the one in the presentation is the actual model. Took another look at it and I see your point about the differences. Hey, if there are 3 figs of Predaking in the line, then great. And if leader class is coming back, also great. But...it seems very unusual to me that if the display model was a leader class fig, then why would they not make some mention of it during the presentation and state that they are bringing back leader class figures or say that the figure shown differs from the one on display at the preview party. Especially, given the audience at NYCC.

 

I think the offical pics show laserbeak. Hard to see, but he is there in SW chest.

 

Well most of the Beast stuff looks...kinda "meh" to me but that Omega Supreme...y'know, I passed on the original Energon release, mainly because of the colors. The Omega Sentinel version, while nice, didn't do it for me. After a while I kinda regretted not getting the Energon release but now, I feel pretty good about it. That looks really cool. Yeah the head is a bit small but not terribly so to me. I like that they retooled him at ALL for this. The new claw arm is a bit big but in vehicle mode, you can always turn it to point behind the vehicle like a rocket booster. So far I'm really digging it. I'm even kinda digging the repaint Energon Prime but I think I may pass on that for Omega to be in my collection instead.

Ehhh. Some of these figures look cool, but when you look closer, they are all the same molds. They just put spikes on them. =\ Not sure if I dig that. I appreciate the beast wars throw back with the other figures, though.
