I am for sure getting this release along with Red Alert to support the MP line, but a few discussion points. I appreciate that they really nailed the Alt mode so well, but I wish they would focus on nailing the bot modes instead. Its always been a shortcoming with the transformers line in general (see any realistic gun version of megatron) where sacrifices are made to bot for alt mode accuracy. The chest is too large here or the limbs/head are too small. Ive hated every shot of the head so far, it looks derpy. That is until that side head open shot Cheem posted. That looks awesome. Im really hoping this has the MP-11 problem that the head just does not photograph well and looks better in person. Lastly, I dont know what it is but his shoulder cannon really bugs me. I know its cartoon accurate to be all white, but it just looks like a big un-finished piece of white plastic. It needs paint apps, detail lines, something, anything to break it up. Looks extremely cheap for a premiere figure. Any chance all the shots we have seen, it is indeed unfinished? If not, I welcome the reprolabels.
Looking good. I guess the only thing that disappoints me is the instructions. Just a folded sheet of paper? I like the instruction book that came with previous MPs. But, you know, if that's all I've got to complain about...and since I'm a transformers fan, I HAVE to complain about something... Lol... The figure's pretty good.

Great pics! The head split is AMA-zing. Whilst completely understand the naysayers on this mold, I'm sold.
I honestly don't think he'll be higher than $40. They knocked off over half the price for both TC and Prime, if they knock off at least half for Sideswipe then he'll come out at $40-42. At that price, it'd be smart for Hasbro to release both Sideswipe and Red Alert together in an assortment. Hell, it'd be nice if they did the same thing with the seeker mold since they're just repaints of each other. Just get them all out at once and be done with it.
Can anyone explain the gun being silver? Was it silver in some pre-TF release or something? I know for sure the US G1 toy's was white.

So this guy comes out on oct27th and soundwave on dec15th......its gonna be an expensive xmas this year considering I gotta get 2 of each plus 1more mp10 now that my kid is into the mps now.
Wow that's a heavy payout to collect TFs. But then again it is for your child and the future of the franchise so keep it up. Just a thought, why not score an MP OP from TRU, that will save you about $150 over the Takara version.
sorry I should have specified that's what I meant..... I have 1 Hasbro version and need to get another 1 I would never pay 250 bucks for the takara version... as much as I love MP 10 it's just too much. 160 bucks for Soundwave is about as high as ill go
I hear that. I love the MP-10 mould with trailer and roller and Spike and the fold out gun (ahhhh it is so F'n great) but it being Optimus I knew I could save money and wait for a Hasbro release. I did and got it on sale for 30% off so I ended up paying $70 plus 13% take for this legendary release. I was going to do the same with Soundwave but it is F'n Soundwave and it was MUCH less than $250 so I went Takara for that.
Nice pictures. I'm curious as to why Swiper's head is able to open up like that. Transformation? Can anyone else venture to guess? Agreed about the white shoulder cannon. I know it's more geewun but in toy form it does look like a cheap KO add-on or something. I may just spray paint the thing silver on mine.
