Barf. His idea of making them last is to make American Pie with guest appearances by robots.

you are absolutely right, but I'm not sure that it can be said that this has been a "good thing"

Whether or not you agree that his movies have done anything for the lore or your overall feelings of adoration for the brand, his influence on the popular culture perspective of Transformers has been invaluable. No Bay and chances are we'd still be lamenting why there's not more Beast Wars toys coming out. Before the movies many of us had lapsed into other hobbies and all but walked away from TF. Now that he's investing new life into the franchise it's very much alive and well. With all due respect, Bay haters can suck it.

wtf give it lasting legs.

This will be priceless. Even with the toy that it is he still thinks it needs saving.

Honestly he should of left it all dead and rebooted because the story arc he provided with that horror show trilogy it gets out shined by the video games badly.

man gets millions of dollars and talents to make a great transformers movie and what we get is to make excuses why it had to be this way.

Im done with Bay or giving him a shot great cinematic camera guy but a horrible director and the writers should fire them selves and go into earlier retirement.

Calling them transformers movies even feels like a diservice
