Yeah, I was thinking the exact same thing. Perhaps they'll do a smoother transition to another series, and so that could be why Season Three is only sixteen episodes long.

Time to start a petition to save it or at least continue the show in a familiar form.

Transformers: Prime had a good run. I'm good with the show ending in 16 episodes for season 3. I'm sure The Hub won't let their subscribers down, with the upcoming transformers: Beast Hunters series.

I'm even more interested in news about Beast Hunters now, given this news.

Dammit! Transformers: Prime is like the best TF TV series since G1 (in my opinion). I seriously hope this Beast Hunters thing isn't going to be a TV show or anything; anything where Transformers turn from robots to animals just turns me off. Seriously like it's highly illogical, it just doesn't feel like Transformers. So basically after season 3 is over I'm not gonna have any decent Transformers to watch until TF4 comes out

I just figured out a huge Key to this puzzle.

    Nathan Fillion will voice Thundertron.

Makes sense as they both are Space Captains right?

I don't know what to say on the one hand its sad, but on the other I'm not suprised. Its hard to explain it. Still maybe Beast Hunters will pick up where Prime left off, but I'm only speculating.

Interesting turn of events lately. There aren't very many "coming soon" Prime toys, an enigmatic cartoon trademark pops up, and then this. Not that those remotely line up properly, mind you, it's just a curious sequence.

Well I'm happy. Sorry...I was really Impressed with TF Animated and coming into TF Prime was Not interesting to me. I like some aspects about it but not all.

Deja vu with the ending the series so early again. Weird.

Wow.... LMAO!!! I bet that CGI was too expensive for them to continue.

Does this mean that they have a new cartoon in development? That isn't Beast Wars that is?

Well I'm not Prime's biggest fan but this does make me feel funny. Aligned is suppose to go on for at least a decade, and it feels like we're just getting into it but this show is supposed to be the front runner. How can Rescue Bots, Transformers Universe etc exist properly without this?

I hope there is another cartoon, possible 2D animation so we can have more characters etc? as we've barely gotten into the relics, 13 primes, cybertron restoration etc.

Unfortunate, but not entirely unexpected. That length would bring the show to roughly the end of 2013 and leave about six months of buffer time between the end of Prime and the release of Trans4mers, which will be the big push and focus in 2014.

The other possibility could be that, following those 16 episodes, the show and toyline will just become "Beast Hunters" and that will extend through 2015. So, while TF Prime as the line name will be finished, the continuity will continue on for awhile.

Thought Hasbro said somewhere they wanted to keep Prime around for a long time but I guess that's not the case anymore. I hope they're already working on something new so there's not too big a gap between shows.
