Transformers Prime Season 3 16 episodes long but NOT final season says Jeffrey Combs

I'm kind of open to that. At least it wouldn't be bland. Sure, it might be absolutely retarded - but not bland.

Or maybe arcee? that seems like a decent transition....
But yea, this continuity better continue on, i don't want them to completely forget about it just because a movie is coming the following year

Really people? You couldn't go for something like 13, 20, or 22 for a final season? Heck make it 18 or 8 to even out the total episode count to 70 or 60 and not 68.

The use of the word "iteration' Is the reason i'm not concerned at all.....

I seriously doubt that the next movie has ANYTHING to do with this. Also, there's nothing here that suggest it's actually over, just that Prime as it is is ending, and it's last season will only be sixteen episodes.

My guess would be that this Beast related trademark will be a sequel to the Prime series, and that Ratchet will not be in it. This is cool to see the series take new a new direction. I personally have thought they should go back to animals as alternate modes, because it's unique and hasn't been done in a while. This means we could get the Dinobots and countless other possible things. Prime was a pretty cool show, and Hasbro SAID that they want to see it last for many years, rather than just drop it after three seasons and cancel the toyline. Maybe they plan on using new series to continue Prime, so as a show, it will be cancelled, however it is all in the same continuity, which might be what they had meant when they said they wanted it to last for a longer period of time. Either way, I am happy to get something Beast related, even if it means no more Prime.

this is reallly sad news i will not mind the short final season as long as it's 16 epically awesome episodes and has a great ending to the series but sad day indeed :'(

Actually, the main reason Animated was cancelled was for that sh*tstain, Revenge of The Fallen... So I wouldn't say it's too out of the ordinary if TF4 has something to do with the cancellation of Prime. I don't think it does personally (I think they are just making way for this new Beast show.), but it wouldn't be too surprising if it was true.

To be honest, I kinda saw this coming down the pike fast when we got news that generations Shockwave would double as his Prime counterpart for the AM line. It's just the kind of thing that makes you go "yeah something's not right here..."

I do have to say though I'm surprised at how *complete* this toyline is though compared to characters seen on the show. Even bloomin' 'Cylas' is getting a toy.

As Green day said "It's something unpredictable, but in the end is right, I hope you had the time of your life". Gotta find some vehicons before their price goes up on ebay more.
