Some people are calling the figure Wasp, so I guess that's what it's homaging.

I can see why people are saying that, but I think it's a stretch. After poking around TFU.info for a while, I came to the conclusion that Knockout isn't really homaging anything in particular. If anything, he looks sort of Constructicon-y. But I think they just went with an "opposite" deco... instead of red, yellow and white, he's green, purple, and black. Someone set me straight, though, if there's a clear homage I'd love to know!

When these first popped up there was actually promo images of Knockout with clear red instead of clear green.

Although they quickly made the switch to green. Why, I'm not sure. The red looks a lot better IMO. With the green I want to say he's either homaging one of the Spychangers from RiD or a Japanese exclusive repaint of the Skyboom Shield from Armada. That's if they're homaging anything.

The only way I would have bought the dark energon Megs is if they painted his Cannon right but they missed the boat on that. Why, Why do they change certain things like that?

At SDCC the green is darker on KO, which definitely helps solidify him as Wasp.

At least on my shelves.
