You remember correctly. I think this guy absolutely should have been in the Movie MP line and so should have the original Buster. Then follow this up with Sentinel and a properly colored Ironhide. Those I would have bought as well.

You know, the final product for leader Sentinel was really far off enough from the animation model, that i wouldn't be surprised if they're thinking about it.

And yeah, the odds of me buying it would be pretty good too.

    Ironhide.... not so fussed.

Really? The blue legs on Ironhide don't drive you nuts?

As far as Sentinel goes, I just added the Reprolabels set to him and he looks pretty well spot on to me now, but I would still probably buy a premium version.

Pricing for Prime should go up relatively soon if he is releasing on Sept 30th.

I'd buy a new Ironhide, never liked them legs... As for this Prime, it's only good for people that missed/passed on the original Striker Prime, which is great for me.

Anybody know what the price for this is? Or if they or someone else will be selling just the add on pieces? The site doesn't seem to give pricing.

I do really like all this stuff but they don't always make enough of them to go on sale and the retail price is enough to cause a sharp intake of breath.

I am tempted though mainly as that Truck mode looks so darn bad-ass. but in the end i'll probably spend my money else where and only get this if I happen to trip over in when it's onsale - Nice toy at say £60.00 but UKretail is likely to be £100.00 so to much for a mould I already have several off - and a character i'm not especially fond of anyway (Murder-Prime).

I have both MMP Starscream and BB (although I may get rid of BB at some point). Both have considerably more paint aps than Buster does. If Buster was truly a movie MP toy they'd probably paint him even further (which would be fine with me).

I don't remember who the manufacturer was, but I got mine from RobotKingdom for a decent price.

(oh, and it came completely painted gray, and I took paint thinner to it to expose the orange edges.)

Yeah, I have SS and the paint is amazing (I didn't bother with the BB as I have both US versions).

I like Buster how he is, except I would love to see more chrome. Had Takara chromed the gas tanks/rifle and the air canisters on the shoulders, Buster would be damn near perfect (I had these pieces custom chromed and Buster is significantly cooler).

What I do think is funny about the premium Striker Prime is that one of the big draws is the cool Stealth mode, but the Stealth pieces cover the chromed grill. Seems kind of silly to cover the cool looking chrome in alt mode, which is really the only time you actually see it.

    UFO (unknown factory originals)

never occurred to me that the solid one was translucent plastic, painted.

I got the unpainted one......it actually seems fair quality,

Not really........but the Leader version isn't one of my default Ironhides, so i never went near it with paint.

At least the price of the original Striker ($130?) probably a bit more.

    Kinda the idea.

Yeah, I half expected they might chrome the shield. Not sure if that would have been nice or total overkill.

I'm not a fan of the red plastic they used on Buster, I would rather they'd painted it. I actually really liked the darker red metallic plastic they used on Striker- but at first glance it doesn't look like the new Striker will have that. :(

As far as BB goes, that's part of why I may get rid of him. Even though MMP is the most detailed they've done, I LOVE the gold deco more.

Also about a year ago I did a custom HA BB from HA and leader parts and painted it properly. It pretty much made all the battle ops BB's obsolete.

Yep, that's the company. Thank you sir.

I think the quality is quite good, but fair warning, the blade and points are freaking sharp. You do have to be careful with it, but it does look freaking sweet with Prime, no?

Ok, I would have loved if they had painted the red plastic as well.

    I concur.

And yeah, bit taken aback at the pointyness in spots. As a result mine worked itself out of the bag before i even got it.

I'm considerably less impressed than I imagined. I sort of at least expected pinstriping on all the flames, not just the ones on the figure itself. Still an amazing toy, just not as amazing as it was hyped up to be. Just my opinion. I would love to see larger pics though!

Nobody sees pinstripes on the shield (so far), but some people think they see them on Prime. We really need bigger, clearer pictures to be sure.

I THINK I can see pinstripe on the sides of the truck. Not positive though.

It would be nice if the shield and bot matched though if they did one and not the other.

So, what's the likelihood this will be offered by Amazon like the Dragon Ultimate Prime?
