That's it. This is my Christmas present to myself. I don't care how much it costs, and I don't even own other SG figures, but this thing is mine!

If I was determined to do so, this is the shortlist of Soundwaves I could get by Christmas:

    Amazon Japan MP-13 (Preordered)
    Human Alliance
    Music Label
    Encore
    and now SG
with FoC out in the new year

Not that I'm way into Shattered Glass but there will be some very well populated Soundwave shelves out there!

Does anyone know if you will need to be a member of the TFCC to order these? Must have...

I own just about all of the eHobby G1s... but I have absolutely zero desire to fork out for these bizarre repaints. Maybe eHobby should start cutting back on the whacky tobaccy?

Neat... might consider this set, if the price is right.

To order them at retail price, yes. However all of the online stores traditionally get them, albeit at a mark up.

They can do repaints as obscure as this, yet we STILL don't have a G1 Artfire reissue?

$180. Damn, that's a lotta money! Also, for that price, it should have been MP. I mean, c'mon!

The price isn't actually that far off from getting Twincast and Soundblaster, they're about $165 on BBTS, with 4 tapes, plus this one has an extra tape. It's way better than the huge multiplier for a deluxe or voyager figure from Botcon.

edit: sorry wrong, apparently the SRP they came out at, was about $50 each, still not as bad a multiplier as the ones Botcon puts em out at.

TFCC has been quiet today... so, I wouldn't think it is official until someone from the club says so.

One has to wonder if Ehobby is free to price this set however they wish, or if their partnership with FunPub will dictate the price of it. Essentially FunPub saying, "You can do this set based on our SG thing, but you're NOT allowed to price this any lower than what we're gonna charge and undermine us".

Online retailers always carry Ehobby stuff, and were Ehobby to price the set low enough that their price + the online retailer markup would come up to around the same price as buying direct from FunPub, then we all know a lot of people would say "screw FunPub!" and just order the set from BBTS, TFSource, etc. Pretty sure FunPub would most definitely NOT be okay with that situation.

Sub service is Funpub's new baby, eHobby SG set is like adopted.

Not expecting words from FP on eHobby set until after 9/10 TFSS cut off.

Didn't it say on the poster that they go on sale on 9/6?

Is that just for eHobby, or does that include the TFCC also?

No. They are just assumptions based of the 13,900 yen price converter to dollars.

Hopefully they'll be free to do so. FP seems to be using a much higher multiplier vs standard SRP for their toys than eHobby is.
