I've bought them specifically to repaint them. The colour choices are fine with me, but they'll look 10X better once I give them the same treatment I did to the rest of my WFC figures. First thing they need is a dark ink wash to dull those colours down a bit (or a lot) and then paint all the weapons in either black or gunmetal. Then some paint chips, scratches and hard-edge highlights. Finally, highlighting all the energon areas in a bright lilac colour.

Don't feel the greatest about these guys, but I guess that's Hasbro's way of making us pay scalper prices for the other colors!

I was just going to get the g2 version, but after seeing these pics im definitly considering getting retail-icus as well. I will probably repurpose the retail versions of Onslaught/Brawl/Swindle/Vortex/Blast off into Barricade/Recoil (instead of Kickback)/Blight/Stormcloud/Blackout respectively.

okay here's my final opinion

on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I think this is crap
on Thursday, Friday and Saturday I think this looks cool
and on Sunday I take the day off

Onslaught isn't anywhere NEAR accurate in both robot and vehicle modes.
Swindle has an accurate vehicle mode and an ugly robot mode.
Brawl- Fantastic Robot mode, The huge backpack kills it though. The vehicle mode is superb.
Blastoff- Why did they make him purple? It looks horrible. Robot mode is great and he is accurate in both vehicle and and robot mode.
Vortex- Robot mode is ruined, Vehicle mode has no jet mode so it only gets 5/10 because the helicopter mode is fantastic.
Bruticus- What the fuck am I looking at?......This is NOT Bruticus. I think Willy Wonka got sick and threw up all over him.

Hasbro has once again failed the Transformers community. I think I'm only going to buy 3rd party figures because they are atleast ACCURATE. You it's pathetic when a 3rd party group does better than the main line. Fuck you Hasbro.

People pick on it just because it's bright, but the colours alone make it more attractive than 90% of the TF shit out there now. Remember when Transformers used to be, like, colourful and fun? Before Prme and FOC saw fit to remove all genuine humour and life from the brand.
