What more do you want?

Cool trailer, they really combined the CGI scenes well.
Because the demo doesn't show you everything about the game. Showing off what your game offers in a launch trailer is sort of expected. I'm not buying a movie. On top of that its the same CGI we've seen before with dramatic music acting like its dramatic.

Also PC players got screwed out of the demo.

Why would you want the demo to show you everything about the game?
IF it did that.. why play it?

The demo shows what gameplay is like and things you can expect.. I wouldn't expect it to show you everything that the game has up it's sleeve..

Otherwise.. it's like a movie trailer to a comedy movie that shows all the funny parts in the trailer..
Rarely do you ever leave feeling satisfied when that occurs..

Not like that. More like showing off its different modes for multiplayer, some character customizing, some singleplayer, some escalation, and bridging it all together to show you the complete package the game offers.

Going full CGI makes you worry the game doesn't stand on its own merit. Its a common tactic in the industry.

Is this the launch trailer they were talking about? I was expecting something new.

P.s. I think the music in this is from mass effect

It sucks you missed out on the demo but that shows off pretty well the customizing, some single player. No escalation, but we know it's there and if you played the first, I'd expect it to be the same if not better.

I'm quite ok with launch trailers being full CGI things to excite you for the upcoming game.

To each their own though.

Will the PC players be getting a demo? Know anyone with an xbox or ps3 that you can hang out with for a few hours to sample what the game offers?

It is not.
It's from a mass effect tribute video someone did and used it. But it is not a mass effect song. Though that was the very first thing that popped in my mind as it sounds very much like an ME song.

Oh God that music sucked so bad. Stop trying to make Transformers deep and soulful. It's giant rainbow-coloured robots fighting a made-up war in space.

Jeez, remember when Transformers used to be fun? Before the only way you could be taken seriously is if you showed how harsh and painful war is? Because we didn't know that before. I miss the wit and upbeat tone. Everything today needs to be so depressing. It's boring.

Um, because it's a game?

Um, because it's a game?
FWIW (we all have opinions and yours is certainly valid, this is mine) I liked the music (though I liked it better in a different context I saw previously better) but I find transformers more interesting when there's more grit to it.

G1 is still fun, but the deeper story appeals to me who's 28 years older than when I first started watching the show.

I still appreciate the giant rainbow-colored robots fighting an imaginary war. But I can equally appreciate some attempt to add depth.

The harsh and painful stuff you're talking about is just for the trailers and stuff just to attract the creepy Dark Knight fanboys.
The game itself obviously is upbeat and witty. You can tell just by the dialogue.

"Where is it/you at?" (and similar statements using "at") IS BAD GRAMMAR. Thank you for your time.

And us who don't want TFs to be a watered-down version of The Dark Knight are left out in the cold?

That's nice, but I'm not talking about G1. Just because I don't like one extreme doesn't mean I want the complete oppositte. I'm thinking more like Animated or Beast Wars where is was fun and colourful but still serious with depth and emotion.

Everything today is so depressing and melodramatic.
