    Definite purchase. I have a lot of nostalgia for the protectobots, Hot Shot is a favorite memory of mine.

    Overall, I think the colors and retool make it different enough from the others to actually feel like a "real" Hot Shot on the shelf.

    They're tinted black. It's a very deep tint, but you can see the plastic is actually translucent if you look through from the back.

    Incidentally, I think that Cybertron Mudflap with a ladder instead of a crane and a new head would be a far better homage to Hot Spot than the Inferno mold.

    I couldn't wait for the US release of this so I got mine a couple weeks ago. It's a great mold and awesome head sculpt. It's not 110% accurate to G1 Hot Spot but there's no confusion on who it's SUPPOSED to be either. I love it, it's a great addition to my Classics shelf. Great gallery!

    October 2012 according to the display at SDCC IIRC. Given Hasbro's displays tend to be more for when they expect something to be hitting it's retail stride, perhaps a bit closer to September time.
