I just got this in the other day. He's the only voyager that I wanted from that set. I love the shade of blue.

The folding arm panels make me uneasy as I have cracked both Inferno and Grapple in the past from just folding it gently.

The worst part of this mold is how they made he cab seating area so shallow as to not be habitable. Why even sculpt in that crap if you're gonna make it look so dumb? This is the best version because they blacked it out

Yeah that's actually the worst par of this mold. My Grapple has the arms fall apart whenever I breathe on it.

The new head sculpt, tampos, and blacked-out windows (with silver detailing on the wipers) make this pretty neat. Still debating whether or not to get him though.

Still looks nothing like Hot Spot. Looks like I'll be waiting for the inevitable (non-TFC) 3rd party solution.

Why?

Either the Inferno or Grapple head would work well. Hauler isn't known to have a different looking head. I'd also want a G2 Hook repaint in bright neon orange (since Hauler would have Hook's G1 color scheme).

And? Not every new toy has to be a accurate homage to the original toy or the cartoon. I am thankful that his vehicle mode is as accurate as they can get it even if the robot mode has a different color layout as a result. I wouldn't want him to have a red windscreen just because he had a red chest in G1. A new transformation means that the colors get altered when in robot mode.

It's not a new toy, though. It's a repaint with a new head that ALSO looks nothing like Hot Spot's head. The color sure isn't accurate, and the only part of his body that looks even vaguely Hot Spot-esque are the lower legs.

Hasbro should try harder.

I'll agree with the head sculpt and the shade of blue not being quite right, and he could have done with some more stripes like his original toy has, but other than that, they did the best they could with the mold they had to use.
