Probably Too many :p News Credits: 9 | Only Sandstorm is appealing to me ~ Brawl's a decent deco and that Mold is great, but he doesn't really fit as a 'Con to me (his head mold just looks 'heroic' to me), and the Sky Shadow and Breakdown molds are just way to0 movie-verse to try and fit into Classics... Sandstorm barely squeaks in, mostly because i like the deco and his proportions aren't too bad. |

RotF had no less than 3 of them, now we got a Prime and this Dead End. Wonder why they didn't go with Wildrider. When was the last time his name was used for a mass-release? Wish they went with a RatBat-inspired deco for the Skystalker mold. The robot mode is far more bat-like than bird, and the black is a bit redundant with Skystalker. |

Sandstorm: Did we really need another repaint of this Scout? Even in Asia? Dune Runner was nice and all, I have him and the Crankstart repaint, still hoping to get the Beachcomber two-pack with Deadlift some day, but that mold isn't entirely the best of the RotF Scouts. He has really poor articulation, a much more simplistic transformation than most other Scouts of that era and I do not like how they made the head transformation/chest thing, something about it always seems to me that it should look different and better proportioned. Dead End: We've come full circle here, I really enjoy this mold quite a bit, however considering they only repainted him one other time, and Oil Pan's arms became so damn loosey goosey I'm a little concerned about potential mold degradation here. I'll have to wait for a fair number of reviews on this guy, detailing whether or not his arms are loose as all hell again, before I bite that bullet. Decepticon Brawl: I dig the mold to an extent, he just doesn't really scream Decepticon to me. Personally I would have preferred that Bodyblock repaint intended to go with RtS Deep Dive. Laserbeak: I love, love, love this mold. So much so that I'm still kicking myself over missing out on Sunstorm. I really hope there is no major mold degradation with this one, out of all of them this one is going to be mine. Not sure if I'll still call him Laserbeak though, might give him a unique new name to go with him. All-in-All it's kind of nice to see them bring back the Scout class, even if it is in limited numbers, and I'm really grateful that they didn't slap the Rumble/Frenzy mold in this because as they were originally only Asian Exclusives it would have been a real cheap shot to the gut. I look forward to seeing these figures in TRU Retail outlets and hope that the will sell well enough that we might see a return of the Scout Class in other forms. ![]() A broken link = New Sig Pending. I assume they don't like the name Wildrider anymore (it's quite unwieldy) and just kept a Dead End-ish bio for consistency. But the Tech Spec is identical to Wildrider which is enough for me to consider it Wildrider, but labelled as Dead End for retail purposes. To me it's as much Wildrider as RH Snarl was Slag. | |
