Universal Studios "exclusive" voyagers and deluxes now available at USF

I was visiting Universal Studios Florida yesterday and noticed something really cool in the store that T2 uses as their giftshop. I saw the Universal Studios exclusive Optimus Prime deluxe and voyager figures and the Megatron voyager and Bumblebee deluxe figures on sale there. The deluxes are $21.99 plus tax and the voyagers go for $39.99 plus tax. No Evacs though. I did ask one of my friends who works there and she said that "in the next few weeks maybe even a month we should be getting that figure". All the figures look like just repackaged Dark of the Moon figures but the packaging is very eye catching and looks alot better than the boxes the DOTM figures came in. Just thought I would pass along this info in case there are any fellow USF annual passholders here who are looking for an EVAC but don't want to pay the prices people are asking for on EBay. Looks like MAYBE what's going to replace soundstage 44 really may be some form of Transformers:The ride after all.

Now I'm hoping they make it to one of the gift shops on the outside of the park.
New sig coming soon. In the meantime, check out my sale thread here and my feedback thread there.

Yeah? Anyways.....good news to people whom live/plan to go to Florida, but I just never wanted an Evac in the first place. Still an other easy pass, but good to have more places for others to get 'em.

I'd expect them to put in a TF: the Ride installation at Orlando, in fact I suspect it's going to go where Amity/the Jaws Ride used to be. That's a LOT of land that still hasn't officially been put towards anything yet, and since Jaws seemed to be popular for some reason (rode it once, I thought it kinda sucked) Universal will need to put in a big-ticket attraction to make up for it.

All the land that was once Amity is being used for the new Harry Potter area. It's going to be a Gringotts ride and diagon alley theme. The plans for the whole area are available online if you search for them.

If the Transformers ride is going to Universal, it's going to be at the site of the soundstage they just demolished near the Blue Man Group theater. The project description for that area sounds like the Transformers ride.

I'd heard rumors about the Harry Potter expansion, didn't know the plans could be located though. Or about the demolished soundstage area having outlined plans for its future.

Here's the building layout for the Harry Potter area. The same site has info on the rumored Transformers ride too:

And I say rumored only because there's been no announcement from Universal. The crane to start building Transformers arrived on site the other week.....
