This is one I will NOT miss. I may actually buy 2, one to open and one to keep in the box just because the packaging is THAT damn good.

Sweet. I hope this time I can get the chance to pick it up. I have had bad luck in getting Masterpieces in the past. This is one I do not intend to miss picking up.

Hmmm. Since this is the Optimus Prime, I wonder if TRU ordered more of this one than with previous masterpieces. I hope so. I do worry that Thundercracker will be hard to get.

I don't mind the delay, but my biggest problem is just the lack of information at all. There's never been a real set time frame other than the SSDC tag saying "July '12". Hasbro has just been really quiet about getting out any sort of real information out lately.

 

I'm really looking forward to this one. $250 was too much for me to drop on him, but at domestic prices, without the shipping charges? Yes, I'll take that. I can be patient.

Honestly, I can't really say. There are a lot of really active collectors in HK, and I've seen high demand items scooped up in a matter of days (sometimes hours) once the word gets out. So far it doesn't seem to be the case with this one. The display was really a lot though, so I'd say it might last longer since other people might think they can wait a bit. The test will probably be this weekend, when people have time to go around and do their toy hunting. Do you really want MP10 immediately or can you wait a while? I'd imagine the price will still be quite lower when it reaches Canada.

 

I'm new to the wonderful world of adult Transformers collecting. With the new direction of the MP line, its definately what I'm interested in. With Prime and T-Cracker TRU exclusives, won't we be able to simply order them on Toysrus.com when they are in the stores? Or would that be too easy and therefore require the toy hunting?

Were Grimlock and Rodimus available thru the TRU site previously?

 

Yes but as I recall Roddy didn't last too long on the site. Plus I figure people on this board do not like paying for shipping and figure it's cheaper to drive there??? For some maybe but deffently not for me.

Oh yes I can wait, but from my observation the prices in HK vs Canada/US are pretty much the same. And even if Canada is cheaper, I have to pay 13% tax, and the stock usually runs out within a few days for a masterpiece toy like MP10.

I'm sure it'll come your way soon   I'm still holding off on opening the thing, it just looks so gorgeous in its packaging, but the urge to play around with it is overwhelming.
