wow so everyone saying they are against scalping sells everything for what they paid for them eh?

Wow this board is great!

Funny that every classified ad on here is the same as ebay in terms of pricing

They are a business and you dont have to buy it

These MAY hit shelves but just like vehicon they may not be easy to find

I used to have a TRU within walking distance. Now I have to make a hour round trip just to come up empty handed.

Considering we do not know the retail cost at TRU or how many figures they are even getting in or when I would not chance it.

Plus considering I would of dropped $15 on gas just to run out to TRU I think I got a good deal and saved alot of headaches and frustration finding nothing each time.

I agree, to an extent. However, when you align your business with the collector community, I.E. sponsoring a collector's message board, there is an inherent expectation that said business at least gives the APPEARANCE of having concern for the fans and their budgets. And this particular store has an extreme stigma due to their purchasing quantity of Botcon exclusives this year; denying some collectors who attended the show the opportunity to buy then at convention prices. So advertising exclusives that will be available at TRU in the fall for a 50-100% mark-up only fuels the flames.

I think it comes down to choice. I have people on here who treat me the same way because I ran a Amazon store at one point. You either pay retail or you pay the markup but the choice is the customers.

The locals here in my area treat me like I am some kind of Pariah and I have done nothing wrong.

I offer people in my area items at cost and they ignore my PM's because they assume I am a scalper. They even go as far to attack me openly in the sightings threads.

To be honest with more then half the members on this board are scalpers and call the kettle black.

Asking ebay prices when they can offer items at a 20 percent markdown due to no ebay fees on the forum.

That is just the way it goes I guess.

Don't get all the complaining here. As far as I know these particular figures are the ones offered in Asia only. Takara figures go for $30 so this seems to be normal pricing. Sure we are getting, hopefully, a US release of these guys but and those will be available in different packaging. It would be more realistic to complain if this company got the EXACT US versions of these and charged what they were charging.

Personally if I was a MISB collector I'd pay the extra to have them packaged like these are, in bot mode, as a opposed to the US alt mode packaging.

That is how I feel. I will open the TRU ones if I happen to find them.

Technically, they are Hasbro Asia releases, not Takara.

If you really don't understand, hit me up via PM and I'll do my best to explain it.

I agree with you. The US release is "limited", which of course means a few stores will get all of the figures and most stores will never see these for sale, just like MP-09 Rodimus. I have three TRUs near me and only one of them ever got Rodimus Prime. The US releases will sell for $30 or more on Ebay once California and NY get them.
