usually toy company toys are "ready to go" when you see pics of them in package..

I am still of the opinion that TRU will get very few of these, like past MP's and there will be loads of board anger to read soon.

Sweet. If I see him at Wal-Mart in the future, I'll pick him up if I have the spare cash.

Yeah, that possibility is still very much on the table.

I don't. I want this thing to sell well to guarantee more MP releases stateside.

So, $100 is confirmed huh? That stinks.
Without a 20% coupon, this is a pass. I wish they'd left that trailer out.

Would be great if he was a wide release, but if there was any chance of that happening, he wouldn't have been announced as a TRU exclusive when first revealed. Also, the hundred buck price-point means I won't be getting him. They should have left the trailer out of it and sold him for sixty bucks.

Oh well, just less of my money going to Hasbro, and going to companies that actually deserve it...

Is it just me or is Optimus missing the top part of his smokestack on his right shoulder in this picture?

    >Hasbro Releases a Prime without his trailer: People bitch and moan that now they have to waste money on the Takara version or a 3rd party trailer to have a complete Optimus Prime.
    >Hasbro Releases a Prime WITH his trailer: People bitch and moan that they should have left it out to reduce the price-point, even though it's already less $ than the Takara version.

    Whatever.

I hope MP Prime hits wide, that'd be mighty convenient. But otherwise, I really have no problem hunting one down at one of my local TRU's. I've never had a problem locating any of the TRU MP's released, and I doubt MP Prime is going to fly off shelves before I can locate at least one.

I'm buying him, regardless of where or when he's available. He's so much cheaper than any other trailer'ed version of Optimus in that scale and detail, so I really don't mind dropping three digits on this guy. It's a bargain compared to Takara's MP-10.

    Hasbro can't win.

I for one though, will be happy to shell out $100 instead of $250.

I hate saying this but I think someone is yanking our chains about MP Prime being a wide release, you have some nutcase who says MP Prime is also being released at walmart and so forth, then you have Hasbro saying the complete opposite.Someone either doesn't know or some looney gets his rocks off by saying its confirmed. So as for me I am not wasting my time buying a load of bull until I see MP Prime on a walmart shelf. That is all.

This. If you read back early in the thread you may want to start questioning how "reliable" HTS customer service reps are... The answer is there in black and white for people who can connect the dots... I've tried to draw a line for those who care. I for one hope I'm wrong though. Mass release would make my life a lot easier.

Why are people complaining about it being $100? At $80 vs. $100, that's not that much different. For the price, many would be willing to pay that vs. $250 any day. $250/$100 is a huge difference.

$100 is super reasonable. You gotta pay to play, right?
