As I said earlier, if I am able to, I will be able to get MP10 for TFW2005 members for 125, because gas isn't an issue (I live walking distance from TRU, time is free), coz I'd be there for myself as well. I'll only be able to get a few at a time (just to protect myself from potential flakes), but I'll be happy to help.

It's not helping if you expect money. At that point it is a service.

I'm not saying saying what you are doing is wrong but don't expect it to be viewed the same as helping when you want to be covered for gas and time.

Sound like the people who complain that a CD costs $15, or that a video game costs $60. There is a LOT of behind-the-scenes work, I'm sure, that goes into the Masterpiece figures. Take MP10 and compare it to ROTF Leader Prime. Both are close to the same size, both are intricately detailed, and takes a good 10 minutes to transform... there is one major difference... one (ROTF Prime) is mass produced for every little boy who's parents can afford it. The other is aimed primarily at teen nerds and adult collectors and sold thru a single retailer. The difference in production numbers is probably huge, so that's why one is $42.99 and the other is 99.99. Hasbro doesn't take that money, convert it to quarters, and swim in it all. That cash goes into developing more toys, paying their employees, contributing to retirement and health plans, and paying stockholders.

that sucks, what i hate about mp tru exclusives is they are literally 95% impossible to find and IF u do get one its usually at a scalper ebay price.Any word on when this will be released and what the price will be? If its going to end up being close to the takara version i might as well just buy that one now.

I knew this a couple weeks ago, when my manager asked me about it. Working at TRU you get to know what companies give us "rights" to and our manager has asked me to keep an eye out for our regular scalpers with our new layaway system... he isn't letting ANYTHING like this be laid away due to the issues with people reselling them and hiding them all over the store and keeping us some days hours after close to clean up

I just got REALLY bad news from my TRU. I called & gave them the SKN# & the "rep" said that there were none instock, none in the back & none in the warehouse where they get there stock! So My TRU is NEVER getting him. This really sucks. Guess Ill have to try & order him online, like last yrs MP, I hope he gets back instock & stays long enough for me to snag him. If anyone could help me, plz PM me thank you

He's not even been released yet! Of course he's not in stock, and there are none in the warehouse.

TRU will have no idea until Sept. I'm calling it out now. You don't have to listen, but that's how it's going down. SDCC had outdated intel.

That's kinda weird. Would you just be denying it to the local scalpers or would it be denied to everyone? What about a customer that wants it but can't afford it at the time?

Maybe, but with the foc game coming aug 21, and most stores not yet stocking the foc figures that are suppossed to launch around the time of the game maybe those figures and mp prime will be put out together sometime in august.

Thats cool and I think my pricing would be pretty close to that. If I'm out at a TRU, I would not charge anything, but if I make a special trip for someone than I would have to ask for compensation.

Awesome you get to walk to one, I drive 38 miles round trip to one or 24 to another.

At this point in time, don't we have at least one person from TFW's staff or a board member show actually has the connections inside Hasbro to find out WTF is going on with MP Prime since we have so much conflicting information?
