Anyways, has anyone that works at Walmart/Target/Kmart tried looking in their systems to see if there's any corresponding listing that could match MP Optimus?

While is numbers were made up, the point is valid: selling more primes nets them more money than selling a few trypicons.

But since he made those number up...Why are we using them?

We know Tryp wont be $600 and we know it'll sell more than just 200 units...We also know that Prime sells more than anything other than Bumblebee so if your going to use that excuse, we'll never see anything else get released. Which in my opinion really isn't fair.

But hey I get it.... You guys want yet another MP Prime so the thought of Hasbro making anything else seems immaterial and doesn't really bother you.

Thanks for explaining and I hope you enjoy buying the same thing over and over and over again...Since Hasbro only makes them because you buy them.

If the sku for Prime is in TRU's computers, all that means is TRU will be selling it. It could still be sold at Target, WM, Etc.

What might give us insight is if someone took the UPC # and keyed it into the computer at Target or WM, then we'd have a better guess. If its in their system, its likely not exclusive.

If Takara/Hasbro were really going to start recycling the same 4-7 characters or so over and over, so that we got yet another MP G1 Optimus as MP-15 or MP-16 (no PM or Star Convoy, just G1 Optimus, again), than that'd be one thing.

With Sideswipe, Soundwave and Red Alert coming, I'm less cynical than what I was when I first heard about MP-10 and MP-11, where it was a bit strange, even if I understood the reasons why (MP-1 starting to become outdated, MP-3 never being done right moldwise and not correctly decowise outside of the USA Edition of the US release).

So yeah, until Takara shows they're going to endlessly repeat the same characters over and over, I don't know where the hell you're coming from.

Also, if you think people are going to be happy about buying the same MPs over and over and NOT bitch about it, considering how bitchy our fanbase can be (sometimes justified, other times going overboard even with what started off as a legit beef), you really haven't been paying attention to the goings-on around here and you don't know what you're talking about.

It's goddamn (insert instead of Batman XD) Optimus Prime. Making this guy an exclusive would make little monetary sense. He's the face (and voice) of the brand, and it wouldn't surprise me that Hasbro would want to make him a wide release.
