Man, the 2012 boxset was awesome! I really wished I hadn't lost my job recently, would've loved to have picked it up. Back to work again, but don't have the kind of $$$ for the set.

Botcon 2012 was my first and possibly only botcon. I'm happy to have the set as a memento of the occasion. I really wish I could have gotten in on the custom class to build my own classics alternator shockblast.

I want Music Label Soundwave. But out of the SG Decepticon Group, I like Treadshot the most. Kick-Over is beautiest.

The road to success is always under construction.

To be honest, the only figures from this set I have any interest at all in would be Kick-Off-Over and Spinister, and the Asia/TRU exclusive versions of those molds (Wheelie & Springer) are at or above their level as far as my wants would go. Same goes for the (maybe happening) Walmart Combat Hero Prime over either Botcon counterpart.

OTOH, Shattered Glass is good for the club and it is their own universe to play with. Most of the toys are nicely done, but just not really interesting to me.

To be honest I'm still surprised they didn't give a SG Ironhide instead of Optimus Mk. 2, given that they were already using the mold, but I digress. Got Soundwave, Treadshot and Darkmount, and Magnus out of this set and happy with the majority of them.

Bit of a head's up for those planning on using Battle Tanker with Magnus: the clips chip the red paint on his arms sadly.

I'm glad he of all the SG releaes this time around came with Kick Off / Kick-Over, and that I got one early on at a cheap price. Not that I'm showing off; at hte price I got, I'd almost kick myself for not doubling up!

Now I've gone back and started looking at colecting some Binaltech figures, having SG Soundwave as a 4WD/van makes me wonder again howEvil Decepticon Soundwave would have looked as a retool of BT Scion Skids. Then again, perhaps there's a custom of that out there somewhere; the base colour isn't that far off, after all.
