G1 colors missed Vortex and to a lesser extent, Blast Off. The rest are pretty accurate, though.

I don't know if this looks like a $100 toy. This looks like sorts of bad Some of the shots you took look pretty good, but there are so many others that show how bad (cheap?) these guys were designed--there's not much to them.

I wish Hasbro put as much effort into these guys as they did Transformers Prime toys.

I wonder if a 3PC could make shorter connectors? If it were possible to shorten the ones on the arms up, Bruticus would look a lot better in robot mode.
