Okay then.

Still think Roche is better. I thought the issue was resolved nicely among those involved and everybody was clear on their stance and respectful afterwards, but I guess that wasn't good enough?

Someone can think "Roche is better than Milne," and others can think other way.
But no one can force others to agree with him/herself.

Bah! Raphael is overrated. All his faces look the same!

That's more like it. It's your personal preference... I can't argue with that.

I must have missed that part. You said a lot of stuff, and some of it was not terribly respectful, nor was it addressed or resolved. If it's in a forum, it's not a private discussion... the floor is open.

When you post strident, contentious opinions in an open forum, you will get responses... in fact, one can only assume that you are looking for responses. Remember, you yourself stated that it was not really about Sideswipe but about fans and art in general... a "serious issue"! Well, I responded to your aggressively-stated "general" comments. That's all. *shrug*

I know you like Roche more. I don't necessarily think he's "better" than Milne. I like both of them and right now I'm enjoying Milne on this title, which is kind of ironic considering that I think he's working mostly with Roche's character designs. Or maybe I'm wrong?

Think from the concept art we saw they're mainly Milne's designs, Skids, Trailbreaker, and Rodimus at least I'm 90% sure are Alex's.

Yeah, Skids and Trailbreaker I figured were his...but Rodimus? For some reason I figured Roche on that one, though of course he does have Milne's trademark superfluous spikes and fins.

I think that would be kind of interesting to know... now that IDW seems to be at least making some attempt at keeping the character models consistent, I'm curious to know which artists are responsible for which designs. It would be kind of cool to see how they reflect that artist's personal style.

actually Nick designed Rodimus. the only thing i did was tweak his design to make the alt mode that James wanted for him.

Cheers, Alex! So you're saying you added more pointy bits, right?

Heh... loving your stuff, dude (and Nick's too). It's feeling like IDW is finally becoming the perfect storm of talent and quality I always hoped to see in Transformers comics!

Hell yes. Most people were grumbling about the art for MTMTE changing hands, but Milne has exceeded almost everyone's expectations. After the latest issue, I have to admit that I actually like his imitation of Roche's art better than the original. And I'm a huge Roche fan, so that's a compliment.

Ugh, spoilers, maybe? (not really, but here's some space just to be safe...)

You mean like this? Those lips are ridiculous, look at them! Overlord's lips may be one of his defining physical features, but this drawing is almost a caricature. Rein it in just a tad, Nick!

Yeah, this.

Haha! Yeah, I noticed that Overlord has been hitting the collagen lately. His whole Transformer-Adonis thing is pretty ridiculous... usually good ridiculous, but occasionally just ridiculous-ridiculous.

In general, I think Nick's stuff is hitting an even keel, though it's still pretty chaotic. He's one of the rare artists where I find his style seems to oscillate pretty much on an issue-to-issue basis. Still... I'm not complaining really. Looking forward to these next couple of issues!
