One would think so but last years (STAR WARS) Revenge of the Jedi DS Box Set was $130 and sold out just as quickly as the other popular stuff did - just like the $15 Zaranas. Prime was $80 IIRC, but ya - you never know.

Well Star Wars collectors tend to make us look TAME in comparison.

Generations 2012 Series 02 - Bruticus Set of 5 - Transformers 2010 - 2012 Transformers Generations - Deluxe

BBTS wants $105 for the set of 5 for the retail version! Now let's see some bitching!

If they carry the SDCC version, I bet it will be $175+.

There's a note that says "Please Note: Hasbro has raised the pricing on all Deluxe Transformers, we have adjusted our pricing accordingly."

Wow that's a hell of a hike! Bet Target and Wal-Mart will stick with their prices...

Their case of 8 (Bruticus, 2 Primes, 1 Jazz) is $120. I wonder if that will become the going rate for cases of 8, or if it's just that high because of Bruticus. That's an extra $2 per figure increase.

They're definitely jacking up the price on Bruticus. $21 a figure if you buy the set of 5. They should have been $15 a piece or even $18 like Dead End and Knockout. One would almost be better off getting a case and selling off the extras (surely you'd get more than $5 each for them).

I can't really say I'm thrilled with BBTS's pricing here, but I can sort of see where they are coming from. I imagine Jazz and Optimus Prime will almost end up like PRID Bumbleebee packed into almost every wave and very little chance of collectors ordering it at normal retail price because they can easily get it without ordering online. As an individual seller you can probably get more than $5, but as a retailer they will likely have hundreds of extras of these 2 figures that they need to offload and still make a decent profit.

Why is Shockwave not in that case? I thought it was supposed to be 1 of each from wave 1 and wave 2 in the case. Perhaps I'll get the SDCC version. I don't like the mainline colors at all.

Maybe because then every online retailer would not buy Wave 1 and places like BBTS and TFSource would have a really easy job moving entire cases?
