You missed the posts from the start of the year where TCracker started hinting that Takara were looking a a new line of "slightly larger than Classics" Transformers with fully licensed vehicle modes based heavily on G1?

Which is EXACTLY what is now part of the MP line.

Oh, and I've noticed that on the MP-13 scans 2012 is mentioned... Meaning that we're actually getting 3 MPs this year! Now lets see that continue!

 

He still looks like Shockwave to me. Sure, he's missing the gun arm, but, as I said earlier; that was probably photoshopped out so it would not give away the surprise. Plus, if it is Shockwave, the day that HOS Shockwave comes out, Takara can drop the first full colour shots or promo shots and basically overshadow the "hobby cheapening" 3rd party product.

Having said all that, I would be 100% ok with it being Soundwave.

 

That would be amazing if true but we don't know it says that for sure, could just be talking about how the mystery figure will be revealed later in 2012 for example.

 

MP-13 has two hands = not shockwave.

He also doesn't have the shoulder cannon and people keep saying it's Soundwave. Plus, this:

Okay then, if this is Shockwave, then they must have photoshopped out the hose, given him a huge rectangular shaped chest and reflected the picture so that his left arm (the arm that has the gun on it) is on the right, they then photoshopped the gun in to a hand and hid it with a symbol in a magazine.

Seems like alot to do to keep a toy's identity a secret.

He either meant Sideswipe for one of those, or he means MP Soundwave with G1 Soundwave (since G1 Soundwave was a big figure). Not sure.

EDIT: Oh, apparently he meant Starscream. And doesn't realize his typo.

BBTS did say it was an intentionally high estimate... but yeah, over $100 for an Alternator-sized figure seems... rough. If Soundwave is just Voyager-sized, I don't think even I could justify paying $100+.

It's really not that hard to understand if you read what post I quoted  Basically, I can understand if MP-12 is smaller than MP-10, but if MP-13 is Soundwave, he better be in scale with MP-11 Starscream. Simple, right 

If they did that, then what's the whole point of even showing a silhouette then? They might as well just start showing Volkswagon Beetles or Porsche shadows and then reveal them to be MP Thundercracker/Skywarp version 2 

 

It's a teaser; it's meant to provoke this kind of discussion. It's why the have blacked out silhouettes in the first place, to build anticipation and to start a guessing game. If it had the gun arm, there would be no guessing game because it would give it away immediately.

 

that price is subjucet to change, but regardless, that's insane!! If thats the case I'll have to wait it out as well!

 

I think some people's imaginations just run a little too wild sometimes. Has there been any teasers of ANY toy where they altered a silhouette? If it has been done before, then I take what I said back. If not, I really don't see what why they'd waste their time doing that. They might as well have just shown a Seeker shadow again if they were trying to "hide a surprise"

 

Interesting, but I'll probably pass on these two MPs. I try to stick to only the characters that have a matrix compartment and one included with MP.

I'm probably way off, but I keep thinking the silhouette is Shockwave.

He also said that United BW Megs & Primal would have fantastic paint jobs, that they were "must see" or something. Hardly the case.
