    Absolutely!
(I'm a fan who wanted Kickoff and Spinister, but I didn't attend the 'con, so guess what... I didn't get them)

Life's not fair, why should shots at toys be fair? You had "certain circumstances", other people probably had other "certain circumstances" but perhaps prioritized, planned, or prepared differently. So in some sense, it is absolutely, completely fair.

Paying for the club definitely should get you the same rights to exclusives as other people who pay for the club.... well, club exclusives.

People who pay for and attend the convention should have the same rights for convention excluses as others who do the same.

Those who do not pay for and attend the convention should not have the same rights to convention exclusives as those who do. Just as those who do not pay for the club should not have the same rights to club exclusives as those who do not pay for the club.

So you're ok with the club not selling any extras they have online to club members BEFORE selling them to the dealers by the case load? You're ok with spending probably double and in the case of the headband, six times as much as what they were originally?

Again, I'm not saying they should hold some back to sell online, I'm saying that anything that wasn't sold the first two days should be put online first for sale BEFORE the dealers get them and over charge for them.

From what I've read, the "selling to dealers by the caseload" was an unforeseen occurrence that they may consider remedies for in the future.

The dealers attended the convention. Club members who did not attend the convention did not attend. I'd say dealers have more 'rights' to them than club members.

If you're argument of paying for the club carries in weight, then the weight it carries is exclusionary. You pay for the club, you get rights to the club. By that same logic, paying for the club and not paying for and attending the convention means you have no special rights to the convention exclusives.

I'm not ok with spending double or whatever factor, so you know what? If I have to, I won't. Like I said in my post I wanted Spinister and Kickoff. I didn't attend. I don't get them. Life's not fair. These are toys. I'm an adult.

    okay, here we go...
agreed... I get that people want extras on the club site afterwards, and that happens if they don't sell out, but selling them at the Con should ALWAYS be the priority... that said, i totally agree that dealers should be limited, walking away with 200+ is ridiculous... hell, walking away with $20 is a bit ridiculous, but i understand the desire for a business to sell out of their product, especially when it's limited.

dude, if you missed them, that sucks, but that's part of life... if you can't go to the con, and don't have someone who can help you out, then you miss out...

granted, had dealers not walked away with a ton of them, your chances would've been far better to get them...

interesting to hear that most GA's don't buy them, that actually makes sense, since most of the diehard fans have the packages, and want all the toys, etc (in general) while most GA's (again, in general) are probably just wanting to check things out for a day, and are probably looking to spend far less than those who're flying, staying in a hotel, spending a grand on exclusives, and also willing to drop hundreds on hard to find vintage toys...

also, i'm glad you guys are looking into possible limits for the exclusives on saturday, now that the precedence has been set. Hopefully next year, they'll be available until late Saturday, but still sell out...

dude, that's up to anyone what they want to price their toys at... it might be ridiculous, but that's their choice... I can go to Walmart, and buy DOTM Bumblebee and put him on eBay for $1,000... it might never sell, or i might be able to find some sucker to buy it, but either way, that's my choice as someone who buys something and then decides to sell it later...

i love your checklist, that's hilarious... and so on point.

i disagree with this last part, if the AT SHOW figures are still left saturday afternoon, they should be sold to anyone (dealers included) who want to buy them while at the show... there's no sense in taking them home to list online in the hopes that people will but them, when you know you can avoid the shipping costs, avoid the storage costs and have that money in hand before the end of the show...
