I don't think even the retail neon version is going to be much cheaper than that. $13 for 5 Deluxes? That's already $65 right there. And with a lot of places now selling Deluxes for $15, $70 would be a $5 discount.

Dont get me wrong, i was expecting so much, and even after we saw rhe catalogue pic i was a little optimistic, but if you look closely at the pics you can clearly tell that all ariachnid does to transform is open up. It made me sad

As a test I put up pictures of game colour Bruticus and Brut-aid side and asked my 4 year old daughter which was better. She's usually spot on with my preferences, but this time she was all out in favour of "the one with the bright colours". Looks like we'll be getting one of each in the house then...

Seems to be a typical thing for Hasbro's SDCC TF toys. There's the outer box, and the inner box/package for the toy. Last year's Prime Optimus had the box with the matrix-shaped package inside. Cliffjumper has the 'chest box' and the creepy zombie head package that goes inside. I think the Bruticus artsy box is the outside box in this case, and the windowed box goes inside that.

i'll revise what i meant.. i wish dreadwing came with his show accurate gun.. not a big hung of ugly clear plastic that vaguely resembles his show weapon.

i agree with you on airachnid. there was so much they could've done with it.. they could've marketed it as a triple changer.

i really hope some third party company comes up with a different more accurate set of propellors.

Theres a reprolabels dark energon sticker set, but you'd have to have someone to put it on. Personally, id rather just have the normal version and be done with it. they said theyre trying to make the fe figures more available, i just didnt think they meant in a sure-to-be-expensive convention exclusive

Honestly i was expecting too much from Airachnid, my minimum was they at least had to do enough so that the third parties didnt have to touch it. That figure had so much potential. the vehicle mode, ill admit, looks passable, but the robot mode is utter spit
