To think, all Cliff had to do these years to get attention and multiple molds that weren't just Bumblebee repaints... he had to die in the first episode. *facepalm*

 

You know, as nice as the Masterpiece Prime looks....is it just me, or is the blue a little *too* light? I mean, don't get me wrong, the show-accurate Roller is tempting in and of itself, but something about it doesn't look quite right. I can't wait to get this next to a Japanese MP-10 to compare colors....

Yeah, sorry, that's not gonna happen. The whole point of this release is that he initially WAS supposed to be a retail release, but got cancelled... so this is Hasbro's way of getting him out to the public in one form or the other (arguably this is a superior method anyway, as it let them do him right with the additional paint and slick packaging).

On the up-side, SDCC releases have traditionally been some of the easier and more affordable exclusive to acquire. Most end up being sold on Hasbrotoyshop for their regular price the week after the show closes, and hang around for at least a few days (well, not counting the lightning-fast disappearance of Sky Striker Starscream).

 

I gotta say Voyager Dreadwing looks sick and even the mechtech gun looks good from what Im seeing it doesn't have that bulky mess that the starscream one has.

i really REALLY wish the underside of dreadwings wings were painted yellow. that's a bummer.

The energon axe is shown in the packaging - the exposed packaging shot where they have the plastic carton out of the box.

 

It's tucked in the right top side of the trailer here too.

The boxed version of Prime has his faceplate painted as well, for everyone saying he has less paint. You just can't see it on the unboxed for the angle I guess.

 

God damnit, SDCC is going to make me broke. Bruticus in actual gameplay colors is epic, the packiging for Terracon is epic, so I must buy 2. Probably a chance MP-10 will be released at SDCC like Rodimus and Grimlock. Sheesh that's probably $250 right there.

 

Huh, I've hated how it looked at first, but now I'm actually starting to think that I sort of like FOC Bruticus. I'm considering buying the individual bots when they hit retail.

And hnnggh dat zombie Cliff. I hope I'll be able to get my hands on it, especially since I have yet to own the original First Edition Cliffjumper.

The American MP 10 looks awesome, as well. I had no interest in the Takara version, but might purchase this one.
