I thought they said he was skinny like soundwave, not actually a soundwave retool.

 

I thought he looked a lot like his WFC version but skinner like Soundwave.

I hope they don't resort to having Shockwave look like a purple Soundwave with one eye because he deserves his own model. He's too much of a major character in the ALigned countuity to have that happen.

 

So he's basically his WFC model, but thinner, like Soundwave? And his head is similar to Soundwave's, but with his one eye?

Kaye will likely be voicing Cliffjumper as a replacement for The Rock.

 

I herd Nolan North will be vocing alongside Frank Welker so it's possible (and considering he will vocie Cliff in FOC) that he's replacing the Rock.

Okay. So the clip is Arcee and Cliff talking to Screamer and Shockles all casually, right? Now, remember that part, it's important. Okay. So Starscream possesses a cloning lab, and Arcee has Cliff's horn. Keep in mind that they have DNA -- Thus, Starscream could fathomably clone a brand new, has all his memories and everything, Cliffjumper from his horn. Why would he do this? Retribution, I guess. Maybe he'll eventually realize that killing Cliff really fucked him over, and he's trying to atone for it. So, now we've got a brand new Nolan North-voiced Cliffjumper along with an Arcee who's on friendly terms with Starscream, hence the casual walking around and talking to him. Cue Shockwave, who is willing to work with Starscream and the bots to take down a Megatron that no longer has Cybertron's best interest in mind. BOOM!

Now, "Sinnertwin", you say, "It's just a flashback!" Ohohooo dear reader, but check this shit out: Arcee didn't even meet Cliff until after Tailgate had died during the war. If the flashback is PRE-WAR with everyone on friendly terms, WHY IS CLIFFJUMPER HANGING OUT WITH ARCEE? Because it takes place in the future with a cloned Cliffjumper god DAMMIT! Fuck! Besides, when has a flashback ever been CGI aside from in Predatory? Every other time they've just been drawings. BABOOSH! Can you SMELL what the Sinnertwin is fucking cooking!

 

He's going to look like Soundwave and Starscream with the skinny legs and arms. Nice thinking though.

That's an exciting snippet of news.

I'm hoping his portrayal will be as a rival to Megatron rather than the 'yes sir, no sir, three bags full sir' version we had in the G1 show.

The flashbacks are usually just pictures because they don't want to make models for characters that will never appear again. The Airachnid one used only pre-existing models so the same will probably be done for this one.

Incidentally this confirms that Shockwave is going to appear on Earth.
