Anyone know a release window for MP-10 stateside?

I remember it wasn't long after either Botcon or SDCC that Rodimus actually started showing up at TRUs. I hope it's the same with Optimus. I really don't want to wait!!!

Somewhat disappointing show from Hasbro. Nothing concerning new Universe or Generations figures which is all I really care for. MP10 and a few of TFCC's offerings for next year I'm looking forward to & passing on the lackluster FoC and Prime stuff.

Good news on the comics front though. I might have to look into some of those TPB's.

Some fair points here. This will always be a matter of opinion. I like MP-1, but found him to be too big, and difficult to transform/pose. Originally I wondered why we need another Masterpiece Optimus, but after getting him I am really blown away. In my opinion, MP-10 far exceeds MP-1. More anime accurate, a more manageable size for poseability with other figures, more intuitive transformation, more poseability and articulation, overall an outstanding toy, as close to perfection as I can imagine for Optimus.

Also, the truck mode is WORLDS better. Alt mode is a pretty high priority for me.

I'm with you man. I get that things are much more expensive in Japan, I remember that from when I visited many years ago. But wow, over 200% more expensive? I'm going to assum that the TRU MP-10 will go for around 100, maybe 130 at the highest. Even at that price point we are roughly HALF of the Takara version. That is amazing.

I can only speak for myself, I love the Takara MP's, but if they stay at the $200+ price point, I believe a lot of us will have trouble collecting their MP releases.

Actually that's a really good point too. The alt mode is great, plus you can fit a figure inside. MP-1's alt mode was okay, but was a bit disjointed, and had some vacant spaces. MP-10's alt mode fits in perfectly, very well done.

I really think that folks who missed out on the Takara MP-10 should give the TRU MP-10 a try. It's a must for any G1 Optimus fan, he is an outstanding toy.

My test - if I could only save a few of my TF toys from some impending natural disaster, MP-10 would be at the top of the list, probably along with MP Megatron.

that and do you want a statue (01) or a masterpiece (10) mp-01 is great, but mp-10 is worlds improved, brings in the original Diaclone heritage with spike, better articulation, gun storage, roller, alt mode close to perfection. i love my mp-01, but he's been replaced in my mp line up. him and megatron can go on their own

on topic, the us version will be mine for alt mode display

Hey guys, why do the smokestacks have the added curved "hose-ish" bit at the bottom? I know they're a tad shorter than the Japanese ones, with some details shifted up or down, but why was the extra bit added on the bottom? They could have just not added it and kept it like the Japan stacks.

That's on the Japanese release too. Not sure what it's meant to represent though.

I bought MP-10 during the newegg deal not that long ago and I will get this TRU version as well. It's a great figure and I prefer it over MP-01. I love the packaging of this TRU version. Hope it's not too difficult to find.

Looking back, I am happily surprised that Hasbro opted to bring the trailer over.
