Going all five days at this years SDCC! Hopefully I can score one of these sets...

 

I'm thinking the glass is half full on this one. I'm thankful that this version is going to be available at all so I don't have to buy the other technicolor monstrosity.

I don't care that they're exclusive, they look infintely better. That fucking matters. So I will get these.

FE Optimus stayed in stock because folks KNEW there'd be a much larger scale and proper looking version being released.

This is Bruticus... the closest thing to a proper update of him was the ROTF set... which had a decent paint scheme, but only THREE vehicles that fit the bill. Even then, thanks to Fansproject providing an Add-On kit to fix this... that set sells for 100$ regularly on eBay!

He's in G1 colors, which are also the game's official color set... and again, a proper Gestalt. It'd be very unlikely he'd stay up in HTS for long... if they don't sell out of them at Botcon itself.

As for it's price... with single deluxes selling for $15+ now... the standard giftset will sell for 60$ most likely. Don't expect to pay under 100$ for the Exclusive/Proper color set.

 

Will buy if it's not too expensive.

 

With how the mainline release version looks and the reaction to it, I'm guessing that this will be extremely popular.

well, I'm going to pass on that bruticus, since I am not going to SDCC, and im not buying the rainbow brite version. however, that MP 10 WILL be mine.

Yeah that's what I suspected. I just wanted to get others opinions on this. And $100 isn't a bad price to me. Yeah I'll try to get it for cheaper but for this I think I wouldn't have a problem paying $100.

 

SDCC stuff usually ends up being unloaded/sold at Winners stores in Canada, like Blaster, Star Wars and GI Joe stuff... Can't wait  

 

if it was possible i'd rather have hasbro rerelease rotf bruticus and fansproject rerelease the upgrade set.

 

I like Onslaught and Brawl, Swindle's cool but Blast Off is hideous. and Vortex looks more like Divebomb.
