I don't see Alternators version of a character as being more or less niche than a G2 version of a character, being fair.

I think im the only one in the world that still likes Shattered Glass sometimes...

Don't get me wrong, I would have liked to have seen something new this year but I don't hate the idea or the stuff we have gotten. If anything I think this set would have done better if it was a full on combination of Botcon sets. Include an Animated, G2, SG, Classics, Beast Wars in the boxset. I think making a builder set like that would have been cool. Fiction wise would have been neat to have all the multiverses come together like that.

Shattered Glass has gone too far. It was never original, but there were some characters who had interesting, unique decoes that weren't just lifted wholesale from other characters/versions of them.

I think this is what the assembly line class should be...something that looks cool and has some inside references, but nothing that any collection would necessarily be lacking without... I'd totally want one of these, but I'm not all depressed that my only shot at one would be for it to get KOed.

It is pretty lame the Shockwave head is unpainted, though. Purple is a bitch to try and match!

I was hoping they did SG Ironhide from the Universe2.0 Ironhide mold because then I would be totally unintrested.
This mold is so freakin' awesome though.. damn. It will go for what? 16 bazillions or thereabouts on eBay?

I don't see that happening this year. The market for prerelease/leaked-stolen samples/whatever pretty much died last year.

More for you guys. I don't care for earth modes for Shockwave for some reason, especially non-flight modes.

Stepper's still the best-looking version of this mold. :)

I still think United Jazz holds that title, although I suppose Stepper is a close second (and not because the latter is three times the cost of the former.)

Some of the heads are molded in translucent purple (so for those who get/want that head, it's more a question of how much work they want to put into it), others are not; however, it's Shawn's job to match the colors, not yours, so... ;)

    Light Grey for the 'ears'
Black for the 'face' surrounding the optic sensor
Cadmium Yellow for the optic sensor
Vallejo Violet for the head itself

    (Get huntin'.)

I'm on the road to Dallas now so can only see this on the phone... but do the add on parts look like a Shapeways/3rd party product? Hard to imagine Hasbro making a custom head for such a small run.
