Two of my favorite characters facing off in one ep... My body is ready.

 

I am very very happy that we got 14 episodes without a break this season. I have no problem with waiting, but god knows it is a bit silly when it takes more than 1 year to air 26 episodes.

 

You got that right. Having a show in Hiatus is quite bothersome.

 

Y'know, I'm still waiting for one of these relics to be another in-stasis Cybertronian like Skyquake.

 

Hey, that seems like a pretty smart bet. It would function well as the standard cartoon show dramatic mid-season "big event" - last season gave us Megatron's return across eps 13 and 14, and this would add one ep to either side to make a four-part mid-season mini-epic. I think you're on the money that each episode might be focusing on small groups of Autobots taking on different Decepticons in simultaneous missions around the globe.

Sounds like fun. I'd like to know what the relics are, there importance and whether they connect to Unicron's return or not. Next weeks episode looks like the beginning of Unicron's return.

This mid-season break, assuming we get one, is going to be one very long wait.

Yup, and it was awesome (only a handful and the usual suspects didn't like it)!

It was if you like super compressed stories and seeing trees kill Decepticons.

 

I hope the quest for relics to become something epic, but having Unicron appear on every season finale doesn't seem to be good idea...

I'd rather see something else myself, but the season finale commentary has stated that

Unicron is not dead

. If Unicron's starting to awaken again, the Cybertronians are going to have to look for a more permanent solution this time around--Optimus will not risk using the Matrix of Leadership a second time, and I doubt Megatron would risk giving Optimus the Forge of Solus.

Would the Spark Extractor come into play? Would it work on Unicron? or are they going to use one of there new finds?

I can't wait to see how Starscream/Silas are going to throw a wrench into the plans of both the Autobots and Decepticons.

 

Yeah that WOULD suck, good thing it didn't happen.

It's been a good while now since I first wondered how cool this combination could be! Then I thought of it again when I bought their RiD figures at the introductory sale price. Not long to wait now it seems.  

This sounds like Soundwave's going to get compromised by something more threatening than the three kids when they had just been thrown into the deep end of the Transformers' struggle on Earth. That is to say, if Soundwave gets in over his head, (how) will he ask for help?

That question is part open, part rhetorical; I guess my point is this episode seems like a fine opprtunity to push the buttons of fans wondering if/when Soundwave will speak - not to rule out the possibility entirely.

I found myself liking people making fools of themselves and raging about something that didn't happen in an episode, but after seeing that they were wrong about it, continuing to insist that it happened either way. Hehehe

Star Wars a New Hope sux now because Two Tie Fighers Collided after seeing the Millenium Falcon coming their way. Oh, and the Millenium Falcon destroyed those ties, not their own miscalculation.  

 

Season 2 final, Optimus and Unicron team up to stop an out of control power tripping-over powered Megatron and a dark energon zombie Primus in order to save Earth (Unicron). Team up is caused by the kids talking to Unicron and convincing him to help (they play the "you're our daddy" card better then Optimus did). Megatron wins, Optimus is near death. Autobots use the space bridge to evacuate Earth, Unicron transforms and starts owning the hell out of Primus. Unicron cures Primus by removing the dark energon, Primus and Unicron revive Optimus.

Megatron is destroyed but season three teaser shows him being rebuilt or reanimated as Galvatron. Unicron becomes Earth again and Primus replaces Pluto.
