He's so lonely! He's Mr. Lonely! All alone on my shelf! Waiting for his brother to show himself! He's so lonely!
Shi.., should I have bothered getting Over-run/Runabout too? I wasn't that crazy about his color scheme. And I had other priorities to take care of...figure wise as well as real life.
Well, I have to say in hand Over-run is a very lovely figure. Of course price wise he's a bit more now. But I would fully endorse having both of them.
There's always the matter of quality over quantity. My brother drops the f-bomb like a comma and it kind've makes him seem like a meat head. Knowing exactly when to deploy your expletives is the mark of a true wordsmith. If you happen to have any amount of space in your heart for one of these guys; the desire to have both is going to overwhelm you at some point, I feel.
I like to consider myself a true wordsmith. Of course I have my moments where the f-bombs come out every other word but that is when I really get going on something that has me pissed off. And I'm italian so I talk fast and with my hands and it is a sight to behold! Mine is scared of all my lambo twins so after playing with a bit he ran back to his box where he has deemed it safe till his brother arrives. I know they're not twins... but they might give my lambo twins a run for their money when they're finally together and I leave for work... I'm sure they come alive and battle in my room... how else could I explain why my room gets a little messy from time to time?
More then likely. I figure any day he shows up during the week he'll make me happy after a horrible day of work. So any day it should be a win for me lol.
Got mine today and the box was crushed and one end was pretty much open for the contents to fall out. Luckily nothing is broken and everything is accounted for.
First off: Those rants and fast-talkingness is somethign i'd like to see. 2nd: As per the above: I'm sure this is an innate fantasy of all us collectors, after all, we are "Big Kids" who grew up with the Toy Story franchise I see you're based in Alexandria, literally just over the river from me, nice to see another local collector! This could mean i'll get mine tomorrow or thursday.
A lot of boxes are coming in crushed. I swear the postal system is getting worse and worse. I was driving through my neighborhood and literally watched the mail lady toss a persons package on their door step. It was horrible. I wanted to reverse and yell at her for disrespecting other peoples property like that.
I highlighted what I felt were the most important details. At this point, I'll toss in with the collective sad times and report that Runamuck has yet to crash my mailbox in Pennsy.
Yeah he is a great figure! I would definitely reccommend him. As a matter of fact, I just don't see why anyone would want one without the other! But WHY are they using the G2 logo on the instructions?? LOL
I think you're right. We all believe they come alive and get up to lord knows what while we are gone! And I wish I could share the rants with all the world. I've had people choking on laughter or ready to grab pitch forks and torches. It's kind of empowering lol. Yes! Those are of course the most important details. I did not notice the use of the G2 logo. Huh... wonder why they did that...
Some of us...many of us are trying to do the best we can. But i'd be lying if I didn't know of or see carriers that were only doing the bare minimum, and I have to say management cares less about the quality and more about time performance. I actually got negative scores on a recent evaluation for my time, even though my instances of customer complaints is very low for a very high volume route. That said, I have to say 95% of parcel damage happens while it's in transit, rather in delivery units. And I would have to say poor packaging by the shipper definitely contributes to the problem.
