Wow, I'm so glad I checked TFW this morning. I snagged two Jet Vehicons just in case it isn't released in the U.S.

 

I wish i didn't wait till I got home to make preorders, if that Jet Vehicon is indeed Japan only, I will be sad.

Luckily I have all microns on preorder, good thing they don't ship out till July through Sept., might get doubles of some

EDIT: I have a hunch, I was looking on robotkingdom, and they have the AM# designation, for example, Optimus is AM01, Bumblebee is AM02, etc., on BBTS the Microns are labeled AMW01, AMW02, etc., so maybe that means which ones they are for, but Baro is AMW05 and AM05 is deluxe Megatron and that one is named something else I believe.

So maybe I am on to something, maybe not. Anybody who can translate this stuff well let us know.

 

Screw Arms Micron! What's this, Combat Master Prime Mode, Jet Master Prime Mode, and Roller Master Vs. Chopper Master stuff? This sounds all kinds of cool.

EDIT: Just noticed some posts about it being PCC. That would make sense, but if it's something else, alright then.  

 

I have no idea where "Bulo" is coming from. It's always been "Baro"/"Balo". And one assumes that's because he's a buffalo. I don't think there's a bull in the line yet...

The PCC's combined form? Wouldn't be the first time TakaraTomy has invented more Primes to suit their needs...

Nope. Baro is Skywarp's, and as you noticed, Skywarp is AM-06. Megatron has the gorilla micron - Gora (See TFWiki for a list).

Makes a lot of sense, doesn't it. Combat Master Prime Mode => Bombshock w/ Combaticons, Jet Master Prime Mode => Skyburst w/ Aerialbots, Chopper Master Vs. Roller Master => Smolder vs. Huffer (probably).

PCC kind of fits with the Prime "Micron Interaction" theme, so I'm surprised they're even putting these in United instead of outright making them part of Prime... But then, the Microns aren't designed to be assembled, so...

Take the exclusive away from the Targetmaster, and there is no reason at all to buy.

 

Well, the wiki lists him (still) as Bulo, which is where I got it from (Gora is listed as Gora, O.P. as O.P., etc.).

So yeah, it's coming from somewhere.

 

Read the talk pages on the wiki entries and remember that they're wiki entries - anyone can and will edit them based on any number of reasons. In this case, the wiki's editors are guessing what TakaraTomy was shooting for and renaming the characters to fit their idea of "correct" here. The name IS NOT "Bulo", and anyone who actually speaks Japanese would agree that that's not the way the name would be pronounced in Japan.

The wiki editors are getting that name from a shortening of "Buffalo", which even in English would be pronounced "Bah-loh". Already their choice of naming convention is causing confusion - see the earlier poster who thought "Bulo" was a bull-based micron.

So... I guess "mystery solved" on where it's coming from. Don't believe everything you read on the internet, kids - that's how rumors get started...

 

Thank you for the clarification. I don't speak Japanese, however, so I wouldn't know that, but again, thank you for clarifying it.

If you want that corrected, however, perhaps you should contact the wiki and provide that clarification as well so the name is listed correctly.

 

Great news, as the only thing I care for from Prime are these awesome targetmaster toys.  

Jet Vehicon might be a good base to kitbash one of the Predators or some cybertronian jet TF from.

What the heck are "Chopper Master" and the rest of the United releases? Are those Henkei/Generations series, or Prime too?

Sorry - in retrospect, that came off a little strong. I guess I just get frustrated sometimes with the misinterpretation of Japanese that goes on with this fanbase. It's one of the reasons I started studying the language (13 years ago - yikes I feel old!).

As for the wiki... Believe me, I've tried. Unfortunately, a certain group there kind of runs things, and they make the final decisions about what the Wiki does with things like romanization. Notably, none of them speak Japanese to my knowledge.
