Hey Pete, are the Runamuck figures going to be mailed in a small air-tight box like Side Burn was last year, or will it be slightly bigger with (perhaps) some paper inside for packing?

oh, awesome... glad to hear it Pete...

i miss the first few years of the club when the toys shipped in the inner custom shell of the bubble... it seemed like it protected the toys pretty well during shipping... i wonder if it was cut out for cost reason...

We didn't get those last year for Sideburn, or the year before that with Dion...or any of the other freebies. Why should we expect tracking and email for this year?

As a "new subscriber" I'm not impressed.

So why should they expect me to renew it?

That is an issue with you, not the club. They've NEVER give tracking or email confirmation shipping out the freebies to my knowledge, so it's asinine to become discomforted or displeased with the club when they have NEVER done tracking or email in the past for shipping out the freebies.

I'm not white knighting the club here but this is a case of 100% the problem being you and not the club. Don't renew if you don't want to. I'm not, but this certainly isn't my reason for choosing not to re-up next year.

it is possible he didn't know they hadn't done that in years prior... but ultimately, i've never had a problem with the free toys arriving... they've all made it, and have been ok... i think most of the people who had issues were people no in the US, and when you start shuffling things between different shipping companies, things get a bit muddled... hopefully this year everyone can get their toys, no problems...

    Great!

I got Runabout and Drift, and they are amazing. Expecting the same for Runamuck :)
TFCC did a good job choosing this year exclusives and handling the shipping dates. We all (or almost all) wants our exclusives as soon as possible :D

I still wants to have shipping tracking (no problems paying more to have it) because the sometimes the figures got stuck on customs or at mail office and I was dying waiting for them.

There's actually one guy you were in contact with recently on the boards who hadn't recieved a sideburn as of January or so. Did he eventually get his?

    I certainly hope so.

Anyways, I'm eagerly awaiting my Runamuck. Thanks.

I cannot wait for him to get here. Now also to ask, someone said the extras are sold at botcon? If true would dig getting one for my son.

    I think that's obvious....

It still sucks not knowing if it ship to you or not... Geez, what do you work for them or something?

As a new subscriber I thought it would be shipped out the same way that Over-run was. And with all the other crap that's transpired in the last couple months, tracking info would've been a nice "courtesy" under the circumstances.

I mean there's people here who mailed in their payments and still don't know if they made the deadline or not.

So if that sounds irrational or you're not happy with my post then don't respond.

Hmm, I don't recall if I was ever notified of my membership being active, since I was one of the fools who actually mailed mine in before the old deadline.

Likewise. I mailed mine in after the card fiasco. I never received any communication regarding whether or not it had been accepted or processed; but they cashed the check and now the footers of my emails have a March 2013 date.

Maybe I'm nitpicking on this point, but
While I cant speak for the mail delivery to every international member, and clearly some did go missing, the only major problem was from the club sending an email telling us to expect Sideburn to arrive within two weeks, when a quick visit to the DHL website showed that the only likely delivery option the club had used would take 2 months. So as long as the club emails are double checked for errors theres no reason to expect issues.

Anyway I'm glad to hear they are being sent so early and hopefully this year they are delivered to everyone without issues.

As a new subscriber, you have no experience with the club. This is how it's been for 7 years (and longer with the Joe Club). The reason you got a tracking number with Over-Run is because you ordered it yourself and chose the shipping option. But you didn't order Runamuck, you get him for "free" wen you become a member, and since he's "free," they send him by the cheapest possible method. Shipping him more securely after the train wreck that was the last 2 months might be a good idea, but it's not going to happen this year because they haven't had time to change their methods. Maybe they could consider it for next year, but it's somewhat unreasonable to expect it this year.

Some of the posts in this thread are proof that no matter WHAT they do, the club is going to get flak. Even positive things like shipping figures early.

Shipping early?? What if my figures arrive when I'm not there???

Shipping early?? I want free tracking with my free toy!!

    Sigh....

Can't wait to have the duo together!

well, if you're a member, it's shipping to you... it's that simple...

yeah, it would be a nice courtesy, but it's also unprecedented.

if you mailed in a payment, and didn't call to confirm it's arrival, or didn't notice if your check has cleared, then that's on you... you can't expect them to send out an email for every letter they get. i sent my check, made sure it got there, and i'm good...

    dude, seriously...

but yeah, i can't wait to have them together either... it's gonna be pretty awesome to have them together...

Not knowing exactly "when" its actually shipping out to you isn't all that simple is it? But yeah, yeah...." tracking info Unprecedented" Duly noted.

Tell you one thing though..with all these Generations figures supposedly coming out next year Funpub wont have this "drought" to fall back on either. Thus no "CHUG" plastic crack withdrawal to cope with.

So unless Funpub has some very, very outstanding repaints next year,(Which would have to be even better than the 2 RUNS) people wont be so quick to pay 50-60 bucks for them along with $40+ for renewing. Especially knowing there will "FINALLY" be some decent $12 Generations figures at retail by then.
