It's not TFP. For him, EVAC, and Mirage, they even remove the "Prime" title from the package. Hopefully we still get a proper Legends Soundwave for Prime...
I, for one, will nab this guy the second I see him, just like most of the Prime Cyberverse stuff so far (except maybe Mirage and Evac... still want them though). I'm not fond of the slightly brighter blue he has in robot mode as it doesn't really look different enough to warrant paint apps, but the darker blue plastic is really pretty. I only saw the silver version of this mold ONCE, and of course I nabbed it, but he has some messed-up paint apps; arm speakers only painted on one side, for example. So I'm glad there's another version coming out, and in a nice color too. Can never have too much Soundwave! ...especially with the deluxe and HA being cancelled. *bangs head against wall* And those pics of him with the Vehicon squad? AWESOME. Convinced me I need more Vehicons than just Steve now.
This Soundwave, as well as Evac and Mirage, are coming out in Prime-like packaging, but without the actual word "Prime" on the card.
When I saw the title, I was expecting that it was the Prime Soundwave getting a Cyberverse Legion figure, only to be surprised to find it's a black redeco of DOTM Cyberverse Legion Soundwave. Either way, I'm definitely going to pick him up.

Evac is getting an USA Release, but will be universal exclusive Soundwave is getting a Deluxe repaint, but its Asia exclusive (he was meant to have a USA Release, but retailers lost interest in the movie toyline)
Nope. Every toy is entitled and expected to have at least one recolor. Its when the recolor is pretty much the same as the original color but very slightly different is when its a waste of time. Why not put other movie characters in your Cyberverse displays? It certainly isn't. This is fowl: They have to sell Legends toys too. Sometimes they need to put out more new product than they are able to create molds to fill. Hence repaints. Would probably be a red repaint of movie Sideways. Do you want that? Yeah, tfw2005 unfortunately seems to be willfully ignorant of the difference between Prime branded Cyberverse toys and those without the brand. They have similar packaging but it would be wrong to call Evac, Mirage and Soundwave "Prime" toys.
I'm planning on getting him but I intend to use him as a TFA Lockdown-esque character. I really hope to see a real Cyberverse Prime Soundwave though. I'll probably get Evac too.
Well this is good, as the Soundwave/Flak wave of DotM Legion wasn't widely available in Canada... Flak was part of that wave too right? Either way, I haven't seen one single Flak or Soundwave at retail yet, at least this one should arrive up here. I am however a bit dissapointed that Mirage is just the old Sideways mold re-tooled with an open hand. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice mold, and the new red color scheme looks great, but it doesn't say Mirage to me with such an evil looking face sculpt. And I hardly think this destroys any chance of ever seeing a Cyberverse Soundwave from Prime... Personally I'd prefer he be Commander Class anyway to fit in with Starscream and Megatron better. Plus a Commander Class might even get to include miniature Laserbeak.
