new MP? just seen this on facebook looks like we will get an awesome new Masterpiece again can't wait for it
Hell yea, love this choice. Bring on more cars. There are ones I would have liked before this, but it is a nice changeup.
bring on the Punch CounterPunch toy now!!! iWant a MasterPiece version ... Now i am half a mind to throw away all my Generations/United figures as with these MP releases, that is totally beyond sweetness, I am not entirely sure if my tiny island of Singapore can take the space my toys are occupying.
Hopefully this amounts to a nice price reduction, $150-$250 is starting to get spendy for MPs. Seems like they are cranking up the production of MPs a little faster. Edit: If they give us every version that we got in the Classics line, I will be one happy kid.
why, just why. so many characters that need done and instead they go do an autobot car. its gonna be an awesome figure, i just know it, and i'll probably get it, but seriously, do other characters instead of the autobot cars, excpecially ones that already got an alternator that was practically a "masterpiece" version of the character anyway
If this is actually true, and not some elaborate fake, then I'm hoping we get a major price cut on this. Somewhere around maybe $70, saving the $100+ price points for more major characters. Even then, I'm not sure I'd want to bite. That just opens up a whole new can of worms. If Takara's into doing minor characters like Sideswipe for their Masterpiece line, then all bets are off. Speculation's useless. Anybody and everybody's up for consideration now. I don't remember hearing about that at all. Mini-MP, huh? If that's the case, then I'd imagine this essentially replacing the Alternity line, and being Takara's answer to Bandai's Super Robot Chogokin line. If that's the case, then this might be doable.
I'm just waiting for Masterpiece Star Saber to happen, cause you know, Takaratomy loves star saber, almost as much as convoy, so its only a matter of time
I wouldn't call that Alternator/Binaltech Dodge Viper mold a "masterpiece", it left a lot to be desired IMO. I for one welcome this mold, make sense if you think about...it can be tweeked and repainted as Red Alert or even Sunstreaker (though probably more remolding than they might care to do).
Oh i know the mold has its problems, my way of seeing it stems from back in the day when the masterpiece line started and we had alternators, i always saw the masterpiece line as the line to release characters, like the leaders, seekers, etc. that did not fit in the Alternator/Binaltech design, so its just weird to me to see an autobot car show up it just doesn't feel right to me
punch - counterpunch / deadend / breakdown .. figures as much they would do E-Z $$ repaints , not that i'm complaining.. if they do well, we might see prowl and his homies next..
