Yep! I knew it was an Insecticon all along! Proof that Shockwave and the Dinobots may appear in Prime sooner or later!
Definitely hope Shockwave shows up, but I'm doubting it at least for this arc. Still, I hope this Insecticon isn't a one-shot, would definitely love to see them incorporated amongst the ranks of the Vehicons.
Going off of how it seemed characterized at the end of the last episode, I'm going to go with generic. I still think this is kind of cool though. A toy would be interesting to see. I think the whole "Bob" thing was a ref to Sunstreaker's pet in the recent comics: http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Bob_(IDW) This guy looks like a Prime-verse Bob, too.
I wouldn't mind some generic Insecticons as a tougher alternatives to Vehicons this season. The autobots tear through Vehicons way to easy. Of course, if any of the big 3 Insecticons show up with their own character models, that would just be a bonus.
Yeah, I wouldn't expect to see him pop up in the last part of this story arc, but it would be cool if this kind of sets up him being in the show. And if they do go that route with this, it'd be cool if they also worked Airachnid into this somehow. Maybe she was Shockwave's second try at creating a insecticon, and maybe that's why she left the Decepticons.
Agreed on both counts. I'd settle for a throwaway mention of Shockwave, such as Arcee saving Jack from this thing and Jack asking what it is, then for Arcee to explain "they are results of experiments by the mad Decepticon scientist Shockwave, one of Megatron's followers who did not make the journey to Earth" or something to that effect. Like you say, put a thread in there to pick up later for a possible future appearance.
Considering FoC is a part of the Aligned Continuity [Family], the chance already exists. The question is will Hasbro actually include them in the show?

Monsterbot, Horrorcon, something maybe we haven't seen as the go-to name for anything remotely resembling an insect in Transformers? I mean, Insecticon is so worn out. Also Airachnid being related to the Insecticon makes no sense because she's not an insect.
