Looks like it seeing how Takara is making available the entire gamut of Deluxe and Voyager figures in their AM (Arms Micron) toy line from AM-01 to AM-14 (no idea how paint and plastic quality will be but they'll include those brand new minicon targetmasters probably in place of their normal weapons, and apparently 5mm ports everywhere on the molds if Optimus and Bee are any indication).

This trend of using stickers seems troubling (and kinda archaic) to me. I wouldn't mind them on the minicons themselves but the actual figures? If I want stickers, I'll go with Reprolabels who no doubt will do it better. Definitely expected more from Takara. The figures in the those scans look a bit haphazard in their sticker placement and make the figure seem cheap considering the higher import price. Gonna have to wait and see for in hand reviews before making any final judgment calls there.

Loving the microns, disappointed in the stickers. Need to order another CJ though, so he can dual wield the little Warpath looking guy!

    Wow! That is bad.

It would be alright if the AM series figures had the same deco as their RID counterparts and the stickers were for extra detailing. Now, even the basic details are stickers. Looks like the paint app budget went into making the arm microns.

Hmm looks like I will have to buy a US Soundwave and Ratchet so I have clean version of them and the US weapons.

Hmmm...well I guess I'd rather have stickers (Reprolabels could've ended up doing something down the road to add detail to Prime figures anyways) than nothing, but that is weird if they're leaving paint apps off and going with stickers instead. That's a new precedent (?).

The ONE line where tons of shiny and glossy paint is appropriate, and they give us freaking STICKERS.

    Takara, I am disappoint.

...wish it were possible to just get the Arms Micron figures themselves without buying the Deluxes... >_<

The weapons look quite good... especially the Warpath lookalike for Cliff. But dammit... those figure with the pegs sticking out of them? nooooo.

Only Takara venture I made thus far is for FE Cliffjumper... not going for these AM figures... even if I'd love the Targetmaster weapons... =(

Wow, can't believe how bad the stickers look. Will have to re-think those HLJ pre-orders but I've got some time..

Ugh. I don't mind the stickers so much but why'd they even bother remolding the figures. Not only do the ports look atrocious but the remolds are added costs that could have been spent elsewhere.

Nothing wrong with stickers but will prefer these figures to be pre painted, that is what a lot of collectors will be hoping the toys to be too.

Like the rest of you it seems, I'm not sure what to do here. If I want the Hasbro versions I'm going to need to purchase them now. The toy shops here are small and they'll not last long on shelves. But the minicons are the tasty icing on the cake I might otherwise pass on.

Wait and hope they look good enough for the price, or commit to skipping them and get the icing-less Hasbro ones now? What to do? What to do?

I was one of those people who pre ordered pretty much the whole prime line, beleiving takara would do what there good at (repaint figs better than hasbro) boy oh boy was i wrong,
im really suprised by this as i was really banking on takara to fix powerizer primes lack of red, and to add extra to bee, cliff etc..
I guess in away im happy as i will now have to cancell all my pre orders and save me a load of money, roll on reprolables then

They're portions of a Figure King magazine scan. There's already a separate thread with the pics, but good luck actually seeing more than a quarter of any one page.

Now we shall see whether the Hasbro version may go for clearance because they do not come with arm micron.

I do find it funny that they (presumably?) spent additional money for remolding for the ports plus the minicons themselves and these toys are offered at a cheaper price (in Japan, at least) in comparison to three recent releases i've been puzzled by/bitching about elsewhere.

Wow, I didn't even notice the main figures themselves have stickers. Thought it was just the Microns.

Yeah, the Hasbro versions truck the shit outta these. Yet another nail in the "Takara is better than Hasbro" argument's coffin.
