Man, even if I somehow don't get all of the Combaticons, that Blast Off looks ace!

 

Just can't like the vehicle modes, but the bot modes look awesome! Not too sure about bruticus' arms.....

Am I the only one who noticed Starscream wearing his coronation crown in one of the screen shots they had. (He's on a screen behind onslaught)

 

When it says "five deluxe figures", does it mean all five in one or are the five deluxes sold seperatly and you gotta buy them one by one??

 

It took me awhile to figure out what you meant by this comment. I chuckled once I did.

 

combined mode needs better pictures to grow on me, and I still am not thrilled with Vortex color scheme, but the individual modes are all phenominal and will be purchased!

 

Limbs are interchangeable? Well there is something none of the 3rd party combiners can do eh?

 

There's something that has been bothering me about Vortex, and I just sort of realized that it's a collection of issues.

Obviously, the colours feel wrong. I know why they changed his palette, but it still looks off... ugly even.

His propellers are actually really short. It makes a slightly dubious chopper mode look more dubious.

And about that alt mode... on the one hand, I like the fact that they are keeping close to the original alt-modes of the Combaticons. On the other hand, in terms of being a "Cybertronian helicopter", I can't help feeling that his design is a bit unimaginative. It's just an Earth chopper profile with more tech detail stuck on top. It would have been interesting to see them play with that design a bit more, while still retaining some kind of rotor dynamic... since these guys clearly are NOT Earth vehicles.

So yeah, that's just a minor quibble. Overall I'm pretty excited about these, and about what it may suggest for the future.

these toys will become my holy grails for the fall of 2012. will will be looking high and low for these on the shelves

 

people can complain about BBTS prices all they want, I am SO ordering these boys ahead of time!

 

Five individual Deluxes, in a "collect them all to form the Mighty Bruticus" style.

I'd imagine Japan will get them as a giftset down the road. Who knows, there might be a Costco or TRU exclusive Bruticus giftset in this too.

 

I hope that these are more like the colors we'll actually be getting (except Vortex). The colors on the toy fair one look horrible. Vortex's colors are just wrong on both of them.

 

like combined, & basic bot modes would have been better if combined mode thighs where little bit blukier looking
