Sorry, but that is complete nonsense.

Card processors MUST be PCI DSS Level 1 compliant to handle card data. If you have ever had to go through certification you'll know how much security this involves. If the old processor has been compromised, they have no business processing ANY payments and would get shut down faster than you could blink.

It is more likely that Fun Pub had some kind of intrusion at source siphoning card data BEFORE it was transmitted to their original processor.

Does anyone remember what CC processing company the Club used before Authorize.net? I see they've started to put the Authorize.net logo at the bottom of their shop pages but it doesn't look like they did that with the old CC company (at least when looking at cached copies of their website). Knowing who that company was should help with figuring out who's at fault here.

This whole credit card mess is getting confusing. We have had some that ordered or at least tried to Monday that have fraudulent charges, some that signed up or ordered Botcon sets and not on Monday get hit, and now one that ordered on Wednesday get hit on a different card than the one used on Monday. The number is growing but even still it is a small number that could still be a coincidence given how often we all use these things this day and age but it very well could be much more. It would be nice to know one way or another but as has been repeated a few times it would be wise to keep an eye on your credit/debt card accounts.

This is actually begging to feel a bit terrifying. At this point, should we just assume that everyone who Preordered is at risk?

I just decided to cancel my debit card for the sake of peace of mind and not having to check my account every other day. I can live a week without it, and on the plus side it'll curb my Transformers spending :scalper
Though it doesn't help that TRU put TFP Soundwave up for order online today...

Trust me when I say it's NOT nothing. It's definitly something. You definitely got the "test charge". Cancel your card and have a new one sent IMMEDIATELY.

Pete, I know you're reading this. This is an acute embarrassment. You guys make some really cool products, but how can people feel safe using your website when huge logjams occur whenever you put something up for pre-order and credit card numbers are constantly stolen? What would Hasbro think? I'm pretty certain that they would not be happy to be associated with frequent and massive identity theft outbreaks.

Buying from TFCC is like playing Russian Roulette with your credit card info.

I didn't order Over-Run or Drift from the Club store, but I have had some attempted fraudulent activity on my CC. It was a small amount (about $1) through Yahoo Wallet but my CC company called me up to determine if it was me then cancelled the card when I told them no.

The last two times I have used that card if for booking a hotel through Expedia and for my Primus package.

Strangely, the day they called my up was the day my TFCC membership expired, and I was just going to renew that night. Now I have to wait till the new card arrives.

Is there a running list of people effected by Fraudalant charges? Do we know how many people have been effected so far?

    Any response from TFCC?

Still no problems with my card, but after hearing about all the problems other members are having, I'm watching my account like a hawk.

There is nothing right now to suggest that cards numbers were stolen via our site. You have zero evidence to support that very over the top statement.

According to Consumer reports, 32% of Consumers have reported credit card fraud in last 5 years. We have had a handful of people contact us with a concern on orders numbering in the tens of thousands.

Okay, I'll put in my two cents and experience that just occurred about 10 minutes ago. I received a new debit card from my bank. I was confused, as I hadn't seen any fraud or unusual activity since the order I placed last week with TFCC for the figures. So I was surprised when I received my new card today. I contacted my bank and asked why I had received a new card. They informed me that a "merchant" had reported their system may have been compromised directly to the bank, so my bank as an act for protection issued me a new debit card without my knowledge. They said that they were not able to to give me the merchant name for security (I understand, but also sort of disagree as I'd like to know for reference who to maybe avoid). My suspicion is is that it was either TFCC but I'm more inclined to believe it was their original credit processors. Obviosuly, both are just speculation without any hard facts, but it is still interesting to see this occur, expecially after other people's issues have arisen. Hope this helps some people and puts it into more perspective. (DISCLAIMER: My account has been targeted about 7-8 times over the past 3 years, so I'm used to the process of getting new cards and dealing with fraud, so this should be considered as well.)

I think it was the credit processor too. Like I posted before I'm glad they changed processors but once people started to contact the club I wish they would have sent an email to all members to check their accounts. It would have been the best thing to do, imo. Instead they kinda have handled it like tfsource handled it.

Seriously Pete? Look at this thread? Look at how many of us got hit in the same week? Not five years Pete. Five DAYS. Nothing to suggest? Wow, I am beyond speechless. I really hope you literally mean "your site" and are not implying there is no way Club store purchases are not involved here.
